Re: Stat To Fix: Wests Tigers need more players in motion

Right on the money, I've noted over several seasons how few running options we give our halves. I mean, what's Brooksie supposed to do if he gets the ball and looks to shift, but there are no hole runners? That's why he passes to Rowdy 90% of the time on the left, because he's the only bloke running...

Re: ASIANS OF THE NRL

The Yow Yeh name is Aboriginal and they come from Queensland....I am going back over 50 years here....One of them played for Balmain and another was in the same Battalion as moi....He and his cousin Stewie Harald were both very good boxers.... :sign: This thread is for the ASIANS OF THE NRL. What a...

Re: How I fell in love with Leichhardt Oval

Hooray up the Tigers Hear the mighty roar It's the team from Balmain, just watch them score! Strongest memories from growing up watching Balmain in the 80s at LO, walking off down Glover St behind the scoreboard and back to my Grandparent's house 10 minutes away. We used to win often enough back the...

Re: Tim Simona

Gambling on matches is a whole different thing and is a permanent taint.

Off-field incidents can be ugly but the worst thing you can do within a code is disgrace yourself on-field. Might not translate as too bad off-field but on-field is your public career.

Re: NRL Announcement

They already have. I thought I read in that interview Todd did before he scarpered for Christmas that they would look at the testimony games in the future, and maybe not do them as they aren't entirely fair. That's what I got from what was written. Like he was admitting it was a bit of a mistake on...

Re: More bad behaviour

I'm judging as a man. A man that has flirted with women all my life. You feed off the feedback a woman gives whether to make a move or not. You're a man right? If so, you should understand the basics of human interaction between man and a woman. It's become a toxic environment for men. I'm glad I'm...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Worry about a coach that wants to adjust the team to his philosophy rather than working with what he has. I have always thought ET would be better on an edge, but he has been used to prop up weak spots in our roster. Maguire going back to a game plan that was found out years ago is a concern. I don...

was 3 years ago stopped Latrell Mitchell's debut for the Rorters..Must be 18 yo to play NRL..can play ISP tho..which is a but weird IMO..good enough old enough.. Our very own Jordan Rankin is still the youngest to debut I believe,, Of the modern era perhaps , thought Ray Stehr was still the younges...

Re: More bad behaviour

You're missing the point and over dramatising as usual. Rape is one thing but flirting with a girl is another, don't mix the two as they aren't even related. Women know what they are doing, had this been a regular guy touching her thigh she would have told him to get lost creep and that would have ...

Re: Annalise Braakensiek

A lot of the time if the internet knows it gets to you, they’ll go even harder. I haven’t ever heard of an athlete committing suicide over criticism. I think they are wired differently to the average joe blow. They have to be. Maybe not over a specific criticism but considering it's pretty easy to ...

Re: Tigers Rank Highest in Desperation Defense

Stupid Stat... Not stupid, just part of a bigger picture. On this analysis, the best 8 sides for conceding less tries per missed tackle also happened to be 7 of the final Top 8, with the premiers second on the list. Only Tigers and Dragons were out of position. Any stat that predicts 7/8 of the Top...

Re: More bad behaviour

Major problem is that, despite the efforts of the club and code, rugby league players are not your standard breed of person. They are often wealthy, big and strong, confident and often with big egos. They've often been popular at school, selected in rep sides for years and years and told by coaches ...

Re: Super League changes set to end NRL debate about return to one referee

The GP is surprisingly popular, I have seen the survey results more than once, but I personally feel it's popular with the general league crowd rather than the die-hards. People who visit forums to talk about their team tend to be the die-hards, and although many of us don't like GP, there is a whol...

Re: NRL Announcement

I'm still confused about the part where Tigers had a secret illegal ambassador deal with Farah, with possible intent to decieve, and yet were dumb enough to mention it many times in the media. We all knew there was a possible ambassador agreement, how was the NRL in the dark? Never heard about a su...

Re: NRL Announcement

Very odd that we didn't actually get dispensation for Farah's previous contract. I originally understood the NRL must havr granted some kind of allowance, to now be so upset. I don't see therefore why the NRL thinks it's dishonest to apply for an exemption, not get it, then offer a player a differen...

Once again the NRL are treating the supporters as a bunch of idiots. If they think that load of garbage is going to be believed ... well we know they are fools. 400k for Rorters .... sure. Now maybe they can give us the figures for the teams and the Brown Paper Bag payments. Now if you are just goi...

Looks like De Belin and another lower grade player now being investigated by police for aggravated sexual assault on a 19 year old woman. Read it on channel 9 news website. If found guilty, the NRL brand has got some real issues to deal with. RUGBY LEAGUE!!! .......it truly is a game for Neandertha...
