Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Yep with you on all counts there. Gotta give Madge a chance I suppose, but it sucks to miss out on a coach like Bennett- so close, yet so far. Not an upgrade? Maguire has won two premierships and has around a 58-60% winning record. Way better than Clearly. Definite upgrade. Prob get him for 600k co...

Re: One Home Ground

Nine news saying tonight, Parra may not play at their new stadium.

Since when has it been their stadium?

It is owned by the NSW government and it becomes the code/team stadium for the day of that lease.

Hopefully they just become the Perth Eels and they can take "slimy" with them.

Re: POLL - Maguire 2019/Bennett 2020

Bennett has forgotten more than Madge will ever know.

+ corporate dollars, + players he brings/attracts - It's Unca all the way for me.

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

I reckon sign unca wayne even if its for 2020, with the squad we've currently got we'll more than likely do no better than this year arguably we overachieved . We have a lot of cattle coming off contract end of 2019, hopefully unca can sift through the rubbish bring a couple with him from the Bronc...

Re: 2019 memberships

Would be handy if there was a seating map of WSS available . Had a look on Parra’s site & they don’t have one either . You’d reckon 6 months from completion they’d have a clue about that . I contacted them Vlad about seating etc. and got the following included in my reply. "WSS Seating: we will be ...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

How many times does Bennett have to say that he Is staying in Brisbane next year before some here finally get it? Don't jump the gun too quickly on this one. Bennett is the preferred option and what is being reported isn't always true - we've seen enough nonsense printed by journos to know better. ...

Cleary for 19 - Unca for 20 would be my wish.

Madge - no thanks.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Heard there is a board meeting next week, so all should become clearer then. Canberra have been seeing if there is any interest in 2 outside backs(they don’t want to chip in anything for them),not for the first time. Also Latu was a done deal until the GC were no longer granting a release due to th...

Our recruitment will be finalized and will immediately follow on the resolution of our Coaching situation.
That sounds like we are getting a coach who has 2 players ready to bring with him.

That does not sound like Maguire.
I like it!
If it's not - I love it!!!!

Re: Wests Tigers provide update on 2019 NRL squad

One of the worst squads we've ever rolled out, yet up there with the most amount of free cap we've ever had to spend. Good to see Ivan's mind is on the job. Sorry mate but I disagree. Mbye Matterson Reynolds Liddle Brooks Lawrence Thompson These guys are really good players, who haven’t actually al...

The crowds at cambelltown have been ordinary for years. If we built a new stadium there would be even get over 15,000 to a game?
Wouldn't think so - judging on past performances.

Re: One Home Ground

I'm not 100% sure but having driven past Concord a few times it seems that getting to the ground and parking would be a nightmare we all want one home ground....but where, not sure Concord is the answer....my thoughts redevelopment and training facilities should be at campbelltown No one is playing...

Re: Wests Tigers provide update on 2019 NRL squad

Thin on for outside backs... The pack proved they could match it with the rest in the majority of games ...the addition of Matterson will improve the balance of the pigs The top 17 is a good squad id back them against most sides in the NRL..however we know injuries will strike at stages...it's wher...

Re: One Home Ground

Imo Perth is the way to go ! 1. We already have the name 2. The NRL would give us a massive leg up monetary wise 3. We're out of the crap that is Sydney 4. We'll still get to watch them play in Sydney against sides like Souths / Roosters /Parra etc 5. We can enjoy weekends away flying over to Perth...

Re: One Home Ground

No to Campbelltown from me. Area is not supportive enough as a crowd. No to Leichhardt from me. Area are now under "the Chardonnay set" umbrella - good percentage of crowd are just curiosity seekers for a spiritual experience. WSS is the way to go - we'll know more after this next season. Still woul...
