Re: How I fell in love with Leichhardt Oval

Home of night footy with the Amco Cup and associated schoolboy games, so many great Sunday arvos on the hill, but being a local junior, the memories of playing the big end of season games or junior reps at your team's home are unmatched. Despite the well past it facilities, lack of parking etc, etc...

Re: Yileen Gordon

Can't really see what Buddy did wrong to get punted from WT back in the day.
All he did was sign himself in as Todd Greenberg's alias. Not much wrong with that.
Yilleen would be amongst the list with Bwaiff, Sam Harris, Taane Milne and Nick Graham as worst ever WT signings. We sure can pick 'em.

Re: How I fell in love with Leichhardt Oval

Long may it hold footy games for the converted, and for others who appreciate and can see value in preserving some of the traditions and simplicity of the past. Beaut post. Two things that are near extinction in the world at large let alone RL: tradition and simplicity. Long live LO: we may not be ...

Re: More bad behaviour

Maybe the wrong thread but I think it fits - so so so glad to see those two morons masquerading as Aussie sportsmen knocked out of the Australian Open today - tools and pretenders both of them. Wrong thread but right sentiment! Watch their matches joyfully hoping for a crushing defeat...they didn't...

Re: More bad behaviour

How many times must players and teams transgress before suffering consequences fitting the crimes. Ingles - cap rorting, hitting women, high range drink driving (probably over 1.0 in Dubbo). Sharks - Peptides, cap rorting, breaking NRL instructions, team drinking indiscretions. Just a joke NRL mana...

I wouldn’t rule out McQueen
I'd rather run out with 12 players than have that deadweight out there. Has been an absolute waste of money and a top 30 pick in our squad.
If he makes the team we will most certainly be fighting it out for the spoon.

Be sensible here please and don't cast aspersions. Members of Jacin's family frequent this forum.
Most definately no offence intended.
Was just going from memory re: this subject.

Re: Annalise Braakensiek

A lot of the time if the internet knows it gets to you, they’ll go even harder. I haven’t ever heard of an athlete committing suicide over criticism. I think they are wired differently to the average joe blow. They have to be. Maybe not over a specific criticism but considering it's pretty easy to ...

Re: Annalise Braakensiek

Wow. Incredible amount of raw honesty in this thread. This is why I post about not tearing each other apart personally - you never know what’s going on in another persons life. I’m all up for vigorous, strong debate but I think it’s sad when we start attacking each other. It’s easy to say “toughen ...

Re: Annalise Braakensiek

Maybe not over a specific criticism but considering it's pretty easy to come up with names of even just league players that have ended their own lives - Peter Jackson, Mosese, Francis Winterstein, Chad Robinson. There was that young fellow from the Raiders a year or two ago. Many footballers are wi...

I'm surprised they don't have minders already.
Paid mates. Wonder if that's under the salary cap.
Paid mates- free grog and free crumpet! Sign me up thanks. Just need to become mates with a few of them now. :P

Re: More bad behaviour

Who are you to judge what’s too far and what isn’t it? I'm judging as a man. A man that has flirted with women all my life. You feed off the feedback a woman gives whether to make a move or not. You're a man right? If so, you should understand the basics of human interaction between man and a woman...

Re: NRL Announcement

Seize documents, computer hard drives, mobile phones etc just ss they have done when investigating other dodgy dealings by clubs. That would be a start. They did a forensic audit? So if, as you say, Andrew Gee took 300k from the leagues club WITHOUT APPROVAL, isn't that theft? For that large amount...

Re: NRL Announcement

The NRL has said there is a contract, if it is signed by the Tigers then they are guilty. Doesn't a contract need to be signed by both parties to be valid? It is still cheating if you give someone a contract signed by the club with them having the option of signing it at the completion of their car...

Doesn't a contract need to be signed by both parties to be valid? It is still cheating if you give someone a contract signed by the club with them having the option of signing it at the completion of their career. That's just an effort to purposefully breach the rules. Can't see that standing up in...
