Re: POLL - Maguire 2019/Bennett 2020

The more this drags on, the more I think that Bennett and Siebold will swap. I reckon we will end up with Madge. I would still prefer Bennett.

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Haven't been a member for a couple of seasons but would still get to games I could get to. I support the club. I don't support coaches or players.

What do we put the Bennet <> Newcastle disaster down to???

He like Hassler has the propensity to wreak havoc to a salary cap.

Im cautious of Bennet though he is a man that would theoretically continue the culture change we need on the park
Tinkler going tits up.

Re: For all the people moaning about signings

I tend to agree. we are definitely at least one big bopper short, at the very least. For our back to have any chance, our forwards need to be making inroads through the line. Once Packer did his knee In 2018 we went on a loosing streak. Need some solid depth in this area. There is also the Cleary's...

Re: Kelly Egan new General Manager

A guy like Egan is very important for issues such as we find ourselves in right now. A mediator to make sure that recruitment doesn't go down the gurgler if the coach legs it, gets sacked, or wants to jeopardise the long term future of the club for short term success (Hasler and backloading.)

Re: POLL - Maguire 2019/Bennett 2020

I have said that I would not wait for Bennett in 2020, I honestly think he will be paid out and marched if he signs on for 2020. Broncos will go the Ivan argument that his head nor heart will be there in 2019.

Re: For all the people moaning about signings

Still cant see who is going to make the metres up front. We got found out at the backend of last year with a pack that went backwards against the opposition, and we have made no improvement what so ever in that area. I tend to agree. we are definitely at least one big bopper short, at the very leas...

Re: Dogs targeted by poison-laced meatballs in popular Sydney park (Leichhardt)

You're in big trouble if you have a problem with dogs up here. Only a handful of houses on our street and the street behind us don't have dogs.

Cruelty to animals, dogs in particular, sends me into a rage.

Sounds like an oxygen thief. If this was a bank he would have been speared ages ago This is what I don't get. You don't actually don't know what he does, yet are prepared to label him an oxygen thief. It seems to me some people are happy to throw a dagger in preference to giving someone the benefit...

Wife has gone nuts for the strawberries and cream Baileys. She is not a drinker at all and I brought a bottle home yesterday and I think she's nearly halfway through it already.

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Penrith won’t stretch themselves. I don’t think they mind waiting. Nathan signing has made getting Ivan sooner not as important imo. They won't torpedo a year while their premiership window is open. Now they've shelled on Cleary they will feel the pinch on the rest of the playing group as the years...

Re: Alcohol thread

Difficult doing your own wines NT? So far, no. Far less difficult than I had thought. I have access to a lot of fruit at times through the year so figured it would be inexpensive, just some hard work. I did a lot of reading about making fruit wines and 'averaged' some recipes(i.e. took the bits tha...

Beer:

My favourites are Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Hacker Pschorr Munich Gold lager. Paulaner Weissbier is pretty nice as well.

Whiskey:

Not much of a spirits drinker but I quite enjoy Jack Daniel's and Chivas Regal.

Don't drink Vodka, many silly nights on that as a young bloke.

Re: Ron Casey

I came across him in the lift at the Commonwealth Centre in Chifley Square in about 1968 and I was wearing an anti-conscription badge re Vietnam War. We immediately eye-balled each other and never stopped the whole journey. Didn't think he was a war veteran. He was disrespectful to Normie Rowe's wa...
