Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Raiders have signed a bloke called JJ Collins, who happens to be no other than JJ Felise. Right out of the Makasini Richter playbook. Anyone able to shed light on the name change? Nothing too esoteric. According to Prof Google it's to honour his mother (Collins is her maiden name). Apparently his f...

Re: More bad behaviour

Just balancing the ledger a little below is a nice story about a former footballer by Roy Masters. This guy wasn't a world beater and didn't make first grade but it's a nice story well written by Roy Master. A few more senior forum members who followed Wests in the past might even remember this guy....

Re: NRL Announcement

The only way to police TPA's is to ban them altogether. why doesn't the NRL do it? TPA's are fine, it's the brown paper bags and the le that is the rort. How do you police that? ATO. Who would declare a brown paper bag full of cash on their tax return? Especially if they know its against the rules ...

Re: More bad behaviour

Players from basket ball or a number of sports, could mug someone in stark daylight and most probably no one one would recognise them anyway. A NRL player only has to sneeze the wrong way, and a dozen phones spring out of pockets, When will some of these drongos realise that, and even the thickest ...

Re: NRL Announcement

Pointless and Lots cheaper too. Particularly if someone failed to adhere to the Cap rules and telling blowies to the Cap auditors. Wish you guys would get over it ..... we need to take our medicine here. Stop feeling sorry for Pascoe .... he got us into this mess now he needs to get himself and the...

Re: NRL Announcement

A bit sad in this day and age that the general consensus is that challenging the NRL is pointless. Says alot in itself about what is wrong about the game. Pointless and Lots cheaper too. Particularly if someone failed to adhere to the Cap rules and telling blowies to the Cap auditors. Wish you guys...

Re: Cricket Season Thread

Sorry to say, the solution is not as simple as dropping player X and promoting player Y. The system has failed and needs an overheaul. And every batsman who has come through the system has been affected. In the last 10 years, Australia has only produced 2 true world class batsmen (Smith and Warner)...

Re: Cricket Season Thread

OMG we cannot pick Finch in Test cricket again. He might be OK as a white ball cricketer but he looks inept at Test level. I've not seen a less convincing Test batsman for a long while. His demeanour when batting is of a batsman waiting to get out. We're not blessed with too many options in Australi...

Re: NRL Announcement

Was it? I didn't see that reported anywhere. I know the NRL said it was difficult to locate but that's a bit different to being hidden offsite. Was said by Greenburg in response to a question by Danny Weilder Fair enough, I didn't hear that but then I didn't see the entire interview. Not doubting w...

Seen it reported in a couple of articles. Hiding a contract offsite sounds like cheating to me. But im stupid aren't I.

Re: NRL Announcement

Mate, if we cheated we deserve to be punished. The anger and emotion is all about bias. Only an idiot could not see that cap and third party rorting is rampant across the NRL, especially by the currently successful clubs. Why is serious, consistent and detailed investigation of these clubs not appa...

Re: NRL Announcement

I hope a fool like you is ready to post a retraction after the appeal. And on what basis can YOU unequivocally state that this decision by the NRL won't be overturned. "The club does not know if he is going to take it up and Robbie has not indicated his intention in return". So unless you take that...

Re: Who do we offload?

I vote for another Super League war Screw the NRL Agreed.. I hope they take it the NRL. If I was rich I'd support them. 750k? + 640 out of our cap? Why isn't that spread over 4 years? Manly only paid a small proportion of their fine st the end. God this game annoys me. Effectively though doesen't t...

Re: NRL Announcement

What other occupation do you get to keep your job after trying to conceal a $700k (not sure of the amount to be honest ) payment from your bosses / head office ... sounds like he could be lucky not to be charged with fraud A) He didn't try to conceal it as evidenced by the media articles. B) Usuall...

Re: NRL Announcement

Just leaving aside the obvious harshness of the penalties for a moment, I have a question. The fine and cap restrictions are pretty easy to understand but I don't understand what the deregistration of Pascoe actually means. I know it means he can't resume his CEO role but is it for a period of time ...
