Re: pre-season 2019

I believe you're right but I think the club should have walked away.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I still think we have a good chance of Robert Jennings from Souths.

Edit- I'd also make a play for Dean Britt from Storm- young, trying to break through, a few in front of him, capable to back row or prop.

Re: NRL Announcement

If we remain at total odds difference in the events as described by the club vS the NRL account,we can only appeal. As I've said earlier because the NRL is the judge, jury and executioner, I'd take my appeal to the courts as their impartiality is known, the NRL is not. To appeal to the NRL, we would...

Re: pre-season 2019

Safe to say McQueen is such damaged goods with poor form to date that no-one is mad enough to take him, even with WT sweetening the pot.

Great signing......... TBH, how can these players possibly pass a rigorous medical and physical test before club accepting contract.

Re: Wests Tigers’ best 17 for 2019: Can Michael Maguire make a finals team out of this roster?

Anything is possible, we still apparently have 3 slots to fill and there is the final feeding frenzy just before season start to make some changes. I think we have a competitive 17 but our depth will test us. Crucially Farah / Liddle transition, who is Brooks understudy, prop forward power and a str...

Re: NRL Announcement

News articles at the time of Greenburg announcement say till end of January to appeal. No specific date but assume 31 January.

Re: More bad behaviour

To be fair to Greenberg all he did was give Inglis a reference along with probably 20 other people like Rusty and Andrew Denton. It’s the magistrate who needs to be held accountable. I imagine if it was your normal 33 year old they would have the book thrown at them No, people are responsible for t...

Re: Tim Simona

Said it before, we'd be mad not to sponsor his application for reinstatement and offer a contract. Can have behaviour provisions. He deserves another chance and has undertaken remedial actions to address the issues. A good player, versatile and, probably hungry to redeem himself to family and league ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Should we target Brandon Smith for there is a chance he may walk from the Storm because of Cameron Smith's 2 year deal. I think Storm will retain him since I reckon Can Smith won't last, but if B. Smith is allowed to test waters we should at least consider. In a few weeks Liddle will be able to sta...

Re: Stat To Fix: Wests Tigers need more players in motion

For whatever reasons, our attack last season was pathetic and anemic. We could rarely run a good set, position ourselves, create holes in the defence nor bend or break their lines. Probably a mix of inadequate players not being big enough or deft enough and a care less then expected coach. Hopefully...

Re: How I fell in love with Leichhardt Oval

The great character ovals are fast disappearing. I liked north sydney oval too but leichhardt was always a great afternoon. Football requirements now have all but killed these grounds. Memories of characters and players remain long after they've ceased playing or passed. Laurie Nichols to be sure.

Re: Tim Simona

I think if he is judged by the NRL to have done his time, done remedial actions to address whatever demons caused the problems in the first place and has / is remorseful over his actions (which I believe he is) he deserves another chance, and I've no probs if the WT ask him to come back given the fi...

Re: NRL Announcement

I still need convincing how a future non playing role, yet to be accepted, can be levied against the players salary cap. Certainly there is scope to be levied against the coaching and support staff allowance but not playing roster cap surely.

Make or break for Liddle this year. At 22, he can only live on potential for so long. 2019 is his year to announce himself. If not, time to look at other options. Getting tired of the hype. Brooks stood up in 18 and. 2019 Liddle has to.
Very true. I hope he rises to the level required.

Re: Player you're most looking forward to seeing in 2019?

It would have to be Reynolds on the field for 2019 for me. If he stays fit and can spread the enthusiasm we can get over this horrible pre season preparation and keep Marshal as the back up.

Re: NRL Announcement

Sounds like the only thing WT should do is take back the job offer, since Farah has not accepted it anyway, and say they will review the situation a year to two after Farah retires. Its all hypothetical then.
