    Anyone Completed a TAE Course?

I avoided those comments because i didn't want to put you off :) :) :) Been working in my profession (teaching) for 35 years. Thought I might work in TAFE so signed up. Lasted 2 weeks - what a waste of time. 1st day was 4 hours of teaching me how to log into TAFE - FFS. Having said that, could...

    Food thread

I tried growing shiitakes in a block form from a supplier. It fruited quite well but the size was extremely disappointing - won't buy them again. My daughter got these from a guy who grows heaps but doesn't regularly sell logs - Belly of the World Mushrooms.

Anybody had experience growing shiitake or oyster mushrooms on logs? Got one of each for Xmas - just soaking them now to place under the trees down the back. Watched countless YouTube videos but would appreciate any tips from those who have grown them on the mid-north coast.

Rostering needed change but more staff would have helped more - don't know why they insisted on people working 13/14 days with no end in sight.

I worked there in my 20s - sounds like nothings changed re work hours and rostering - mandatory O/T - I regularly had to do 13 day fortnights, with some shifts being 12 hours and an 8 hour turn around. Was good money but as liltiger says -no personal life. Just about everyone I worked with was...

    What Car do you Drive..?

Long story short - I've had a 1955 Matchless G80S 500 for 39 years. Had an accident three days after I bought it and the bike burnt to the ground. Took a little longer than Jesus but it's alive again - short clip of it's first run on rego:

How long before you get notified of a speeding fine/any other fine in NSW?

Not speeding but fine related. We moved to NSW from Brisbane June 2021. Notified every conceivable authority/ utility/ nobody and their cat. We have a dog and so registered him straight away with the local council. January 2022 we get a letter from Brisbane City Council telling us we owe them...

    Fishing Thread

I get it. I hate not catching things and will head home if there's nothing on. People I know who don't fish regularly don't understand the 'science' behind it. They rarely catch anything and so they give up. I was lucky enough to have brother who is anally-retentive about anything he does. He...
