LIVE GAME Rd. 22 discussion *spoilers*

There was a bit of talk about the dummy halves taking the piss with it leading up to the rule change. Then there was a game after if had been in the media for 2 weeks where Smith literally threw the ball straight down like taking a bounce in AFL. That's when they changed the rule. I'd say the...

LIVE GAME Rd. 22 discussion *spoilers*

Because a few years back (I think 2019 from memory) the people in charge of the game basically had enough of dummy halves just throwing the ball at offside players that they changed the rules. Dummy Half Passing Ball into Defending Player at Ruck Where a dummy half deliberately passes the ball...

Im still not sure this is true. Wasn't Gallant promoted to head of pathways and junior recruitment? To get promoted into the position suggests there is a role below that he was promoted from a lower position. This would suggest there is more than 1 recruitment guy. I agree that our club...

Thanks. I kept seeing he and Mooney mentioned together thinking it was Hamish Stewart and the link being 2 middles. Then I read he's a fullback and thought this can't be right. Seen a bit, not a lot, of Chevy. There's a handy footballer in there somewhere but don't see him coming into our best...

Who is Stewart that keeps getting talked about here?

Nothing wrong with the off the bench part but 13 is such an important position in the modern game. The coaching team should have a clear idea of who they want to be there and how they want them to play. It is not a consolation prize for the guy who misses an edge spot.

As far as were there problems with speed and agility last year? Yes. He was often beaten in defence with limited lateral movement. As I said before led the comp for try causes last year. It's not about giving up on him as a 2nd row. I still believe he will be a very good backrower if he is kept...

He's no comparing his play style, he is comparing his physical attributes. His speed and agility isn't going to suddenly improve with experience. He may learn to better use what he is equipped with but the assets will remain the same. I think he can do a job on an edge but I also believe he is...

Would take Seyfarth over the other 2 though currently we don't have enough forwards to think about releasing any. None of them are good and all are arguably part of the problem but also all are capable first grade quality forwards, something we are sorely missing. If we could upgrade 2 and keep...

Disagree that it has to be (certainly could be). I think defensive coaching and ability are a big factor. Not that they aren't told to get off the line but they lose the collision and wrestle, meaning slow to get back to the line, meaning slow to get off it.

Twal does not fit this description in my opinion.

Phins, but it was a part of their 0 and 4 start after they had the hurricane at the start of the year.

No you are not the only one unimpressed. Most the forum seem unimpressed. I don't think the nothing available excuse that some offer up really flies given the club should have known in February that the side needed forwards, though it is only more recently that available cap space would have...

After 7 rounds those numbers would seem close enough to right (can't be bothered checking to confirm). I personally though don't think we were playing any more or less as a team then than now, but to each their own. A couple of those wins (and narrow losses) in my opinion were luck of the draw...

By what measure? Our position on the ladder hasn't changed. Our winning percentage has barely changed. Much of the complaints about performance, both individuals and team, hasn't changed. How do you figure we were travelling okay at the time?

They're much better but Steep, Foketi and Wong are all young, huge upside guys in their first full season of first grade. Whyte, a little more experienced, has been great for them to. They've been sorely missing Butcher who would have been a reliable, experienced and consistent performer for...

I think many of our forwards definitely let us down individually. I could rattle of a list of problems, most I've commented on in the past, but pretty much all but May have a glaring deficiency on one or either side of the ball.

The highest I'd seen his 2025 salary reported is 675k. There's never been a salary reported for his extension but it would make absolutely no sense that an aging forward would receive an increased contract value. Happy to be shown any evidence it would have been 800k but I'd doubt there is any...

From all reports Klemmer wasn't on $800k here, nor would the clause have enacted this. Not sure why the forum continues to push this.
