    David Nofoaluma #164

It comes amid explosive accusations made by the Tigers’ greatest try-scorer to the Rugby League Players’ Association that rookie coach Benji Marshall told him that he would not play NRL again if he stayed at the Wests Tigers. Basically, he has been tapped on the shoulder. He could have seen...

    Season 2024 - Round 2 Team

A good few weeks...definitely looking a lot better than a month ago. Finally addressing our need at center...after ignoring it for ages. If Kepoa is your starting center, you are going to win spoons. Now, he will hopefully be permanently in state cup.

    Justin Olam #281

A little odd that Blore was at training IF the deal is still going ahead. Clubs don't normally risk anyone getting hurt at training if a deal is imminent.

    Scott Fulton sacked

Definitely a bold move as Fulton is VERY close with Mario Tartak...and Tartak has almost all of our young guys on his books (TDS, Fainu bros, Feledy, Kitt, etc)

I like Blore, but this balances the squad much better. Kit, Samuela and Faagatua will all fill Blore's role quickly.

This is a misconception... Bennet finishes end of 2024 there...i.e. he won't coach Tupou. Tupou will be coached by Woolf...his national coach who wanted him. Personally I feel his footy IQ is so low and he lacks pace...they can have him.

Surely that is not the rumored "signing"?

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I have been a Blore advocate since his Penrith days, but that swap would be good for us. We have about 5 players who could take the Blore role... But absolutely no quality outside backs. People saying Olam is a reserve grader need to pause and realise he would be our best center by a mile...

    Latu Fainu #282

Fainu and TDS will be stars....IMO Fainu is ready physically already. TDS prob needs another 12 months, but his cause is helped by the fact he will prob play 20 mins off the bench at most. Fainu IMO is ready for the NRL right now.

    Jersey Talk

I already have most of the 2023 merch, so I will be skipping 2024 as they are almost identical. I was hoping for something fresh, just as these jerseys are synonymous with our two wooden spoons.

Cap is a farce when Dogs can just top up with 3rd party stuff. AFB will end up there...Gus will deny it, but just watch...

Excellent post. Def strange comments from Cleary. Basically "can he be the man? I don't know". It likely will motivate Luai to say "hell yeah" and act as an excuse to leave. Strange comments if he really wants to keep him.

Wooden spoons get won in the off season: Our 2,3,4,5.

You would hope so... Strange though as the top 30 is full. Only can presume he has been told to wait and someone will be moved on. Knowing us though, he will end up at Parra and top try scorer's list in 2024...

Wooden spoons get won in the off season: Our 2,3,4,5.

Yeah, but Benji taking over changes things IMO. He does not have the personality to cop hammerings and a spoon... And the club simply can't afford three in a row. We have to act.

Wooden spoons get won in the off season: Our 2,3,4,5.

Yeah, I left AD out as I do not think 2024 is realistic. At best he will be mid season.

Galvin will be a star... But he is yet to even play SG Ball...needs at least 18 months.

Wooden spoons get won in the off season: Our 2,3,4,5.

Yes...but the 2-5 basically can't defend. Look how often teams scored on us first set with basic draw and pass plays. No matter what the pack and halves do, you can't win when 2-5 can't defend basic sets.

Wooden spoons get won in the off season: Our 2,3,4,5.

Good points, but any team with Nofa, Reilly and Tupou has no speed and will almost certainly come last. I just do not think we can afford another spoon...especially in Benji's first year. Something proactive has to be done asap.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

JAC would be a massive upgrade...but we are not even in the market. Nofa and Tupou are both shockingly low IQ wingers. Both also slow. Both poor defensively. Yet we have not prioritised a winger or center for ages. Staines is our back winger by a mile and he looks set to be left without a...

Wooden spoons get won in the off season: Our 2,3,4,5.

I am shocked at our lack of urgency at fixing our backline this off season. The simple reality is our 2-3-4-5 are, by far, the worst in the NRL. Not only the worst attacking wise, but also defensively. Other teams can just swing it wide, draw and pass, and score on us regularly. It is...
