Interesting read, as is the attachment. I think this goes to the heart of the problem, a lack of investment by the owners. This. I expect, flows down hill to under resourced staffing in areas and staff wanting to do more butbeing told to do it wthh less. Given they are good at running clubs...

    Daley Blues coach 2025

I would need an insider to figure that mess out. Wouldn't touch that with a barge pole! Might be able to do something on who should be the next NSW coach.

Yes, QLD Defence won it 100%. However, if the NSW halves had countered the defence by getting in behind it they could have turned the game. QLD won it with their defence. NSW lost because they didn't change their game plan to break the QLD defence down, if you get what I mean.

    State of Origin 2025

He couldn't get into the game because he didn't adapt to the QLD gameplan. He continued to dig deep into the line which gave his outside backs no room to move. He did a lot of running because the outside options were cut off. Luai did much better in countering the up and in which is why we...

TEAM LIST Round 2 v Bulldogs

Not a great first outing - but were competitive. I trust that the bugs are ironed out and we are in for a win this week.

You can't criticise him for effort, and he did do some good stuff. He reacted much better to the up and in defence than Cleary; BUT, instead of simply reacting to the defence he should have countered it. That is the difference between a good and a great half. If they were waiting for Daley to...

    State of Origin 2025

I think the game was won by slater and his game plan and lost by NSW (Cleary and Luai) by their inability to adapt their game plan. The way I read it - Slater identified that NSW would try to go after their inexperienced centre combination by shifting the ball. To counter that QLD were up an in...

Too right, but I think in time, and with a bit more experience, it may be the other way around.

TEAM LIST Round 19 v Warriors

Game Plan V Warriors Nullify the Warriors' Forward Pack and Crowd The Warriors' strength this weekend will lies in the crown and their forward momentum. To deal with the hoome ground advantage and set the platform we need to counter their forward pack. To achieve this we need to focus on: Early...

That is what it is and nothing we can do to change it until more revenue is generated from the Wests Tigers - Balmain. Given HBG is a not for profit the $ should be fed into WT to enable us to compete on as even a playing table as we can buy. The problem as I see it is HBG is more focussed on...

    Jahream Bula #269

While the Bula $900K or not debate is interesting from the sideline the real issue has nothing to do with $. It is to do with setting us up to have a crack at the title. That is not going to happen without a settled and stable spine - just look back at the premiership winners over the last 20...

    CEO - Shane Richardson

I think the issue he is @poopy_diaper is getting at is HBG, as the owners, shoudl be pouring profit into the club to get us off the bottom. It shouldn't be up to Richo to make money - he should be setting up the governance to make sure every cent goes towards winning the competition. If HBG...

    Hookers. (9)

I think at SOO/Kangaroo level you can do basic well, go the other way and do crafty/quick - or do both. QLD were using a combination of Grant and Hunt and NSW has gone with Robson and Watson. If we look at the NSW combination Robson is there to provide good service but more importantly shore...

    Hookers. (9)

Sorry CC, no - just the way Army taught me to write an alalysis. State what you are going to say, say it, then tell them what you said. I think the key to the whole thing is how you go about building your team and what the key plyers in your spine do. While a hooker touches the ball more than...

Glad we have the KoE Cup goal kicker sorted! Just got to find one now that is FG standard.

    Hookers. (9)

Both hookers have a lot in common. They spend a lot of time on their knees, gettign smashed from every angle and make a living by servicing big sweaty blokes for eighty minutes straight. They are both judged on how quick they can get the ball out and at the he end of the night, neither leaves...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I'm sure there is a deal to be done - it could even be as simple as us activating the option and then negotiating the outer years. The one thing that is consistent across premiership winng teams over the last two decades is a settled spine. We have the halves combination - provided Latu...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I doubt AD has the heart to play in the middle, but if he can transform he has an opportunity. We need to replace Twal as the starting 13 and we need depth there as well. He has the height os he could be a kick chase weapon - trouble is that he doesn't do it now - will he change?

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Because, in my opinion, AD won't get us into a premiership window. He is a mid-table centre at best - we need some real strike. If we keep him he should be a utility player as backup so we can't rely on his goal kicking except in Cup.
