    Good one Refs

Really, the refereeing was poor last night. A ref shoudln't be the one to 'set the tone' of the game, that is up to the players. Even though we got those penalties in the first 5 mins, I would have to admit that some were marginal, and I would rather refs let marginal ones go on both sides, than...

    Arrive Alive Cup

Holy Cross are playing also at Leichhardt on Thursday after the St Gregs game. I actually think they have quite a good side this year. The young half-back Brooks in the side goes well, as does his older brother in the centres. They also have a good young front-rower from Balmain Harold Matthews...

    Tupou can play

I think he was actually going ok in the UK before he got hurt, something like 11 tries in 12 games as Bradford's leading try scorer. I think its also interesting to not that he played predominantly on the left in that footage, which would mean he would have to work in the off-season (or now...

Phantom call we'd like to hear (#1)

"30 seconds to go, last roll of the dice for the Tigers here, down by 4 and inside their own 20\. Farah, out of dummy half, out to Marshall, Marshall, dancing around, dummies once, now twice, Marshall cuts out Lawrence, here's Tuiaki now. Big Taniela the Tank! Over the top of Williams! Tuiaki...

    Arana Taumata

You would have to be kidding! Ahead of Ryan maybe, but Ayshford is one of the best young players we've got! He may have done well this year, but with players like Daniela, Brown and Tupou with first grade experience coming into the system, and youngsters such as Rogica developing well, I can't...

    David Gower

I remember him playing Flegg for Balmain in the centres. I think it was the same side Robbie was in, then when he couldn't get a run in Balmain Ryde Eastwood PL, then he went to the Magpies for a year before going to England.

    Al Shrinack

From what I've seen of him in both State Cup and first grade, I really like the look of Shirnack. Uncompromising, tough, with a big workload. He probably won't win you a game, but he definatley won't lose you one, and a great option for the bench for the rest of this year and into next year.
