Still have a good run of blackfish here at Caloundra over the winter months. Love watching the old blokes fishing for them using all the old gear. They are still pretty good at getting a feed. Weed pretty scarce up here so they use cabbage they get off the ocean rocks.

Plenty of the pubs and clubs have flathead tails on the menu but it is frozen battered crap that tastes nothing like flathead. Give me a fresh flathead on the bone anyday. Any whole fish for that matter always tastes better than a fillet.

I would just like to see some stability in the outside backs like BrissyTiger said. Staines and Naden in the centres and looks like Noffa( boot him ) and Ken on the wings. Although have my doubts that either wing could keep up with their inside man but at least build up some workable combinations.

This brought back memories. The brother-in-law had fallen on hard times and lived with us for around six months and he really liked a choof. By the time he left, the garden hose was only about 6 foot long.😂
