I I think Barnett is out for the season? If Cleary is not fit I would pick the young half from Dolphins. Or if they want experience and a kicking game you go back to Reynolds. Wonder if Daley does something dumb and goes with Luai at half and Burton at 5/8, or worse still Hynes at half.

Yep. An opposition tip sheet on Api would be a page long. Kick threat from dummy half. Run threat from dummy half. Look long, play short at the line threat. Wrap around threat. Opposition tip sheet on Robson would be one line: pass to first receiver. Sometimes goes to short side.

Agree. Solid first grader. But elite?? Not a chance.

Only reason he was picked was Bellyache in the NSW coaching staff.

If Connor Watson is in the best 17 players eligible for NSW selection I will eat my hat.

Anyone think NSW lack any sort of creativity out of dummy half? QLD don’t need to do any homework on Robson. Never runs. Just shovels to first receiver. Safe a great defensively, but will never have an opposition second guessing.

Is it any surprise? He refs like that in NRL each week. Blows the pea out of the whistle, over refs every game. Just can’t let the game flow and let the players decide who wins. If the hierarchy thought he would ref SOO any differently they were kidding themselves. Gets a lot of calls wrong too...

Agree. I don’t get this obsession with weakening a key spine position to manufacture a lock forward. Sure Yeo is a weapon for Penrith, but he’s a generational talent who can also go into front row rotation, whack a bloke in defence, make 20 impactful hit ups and 40 tackles a game. How many other...

Fletcher Sharpe is a fullback, which is where he will slot in when Ponga bails on the Knights. Tremendous running threat.

It’s only one full game as a data point, but he got no where near the number of touches yesterday than he did in just about every game he played at WT. That probably just reflects that he will be slotted into the system at the Bulldogs, whereas at the Tigers he was the system.

I think it was a case of missed Horsborough but jagged May. I don’t believe it was a case of both in the frame but an either/or. Big Red is a good player, but we definitely did better with May

Katoa ain’t the future…he’s the present. One of the top bracket of halfback in the comp right now.

I could cop it if he speared in at the legs. But that was just a solid tackle that was simultaneous with him kicking. Not late. Not high. Not attacking the legs. WTF is Jerome supposed to do?

LIVE GAME Round 14 v Panthers

The last gasp desperation efforts by Penrith in the last 10 minutes. Not much wrong with Tigers attack this arvo.

Agree. But it was a big moment and a really bad call. No reward for the effort to get to the kicker and put pressure on. The ball hadn’t even left his boot when he hit him.

Katoa is the best young half in the comp by a mile. No contest.
