Fossils from the 80s who never even played for our club.

WT Ownership, The Board & Senior Management - MEGA Thread

Fedora Hagipantelis is quoted as saying: “A rookie coach needed an experienced CEO, which they have removed from him. I know they have replaced him with Shane Richardson. I don’t know Shane Richardson." Sorry mate, if you have no idea who a multiple premiership winning CEO is who also had one...

WT Ownership, The Board & Senior Management - MEGA Thread

While I can't say too much, I know a little about how Shane Richardson operates. The bloke is very, very intense! Not at all unusual for him to rip someone a new one over something minor. He's very hands on and does not take any BS. No doubt he'll ruffle a few feathers. I really hope he gets...

    Why bother with a review??

No sane player wants to join the wooden spooners. No sane parent wants their talented kid to join the wooden spooners. So to assemble a squad, we're left with the insane, overpaid and the unwanted. The rest is just noise.

10 Great things about Electric Cars.

Fewer moving parts, easier and cheaper upkeep, 70% cheaper 'fuel', better brake life from regenerative braking, REALLY fast, better resale, emissions, instant torque, longer engine life, much smoother, less noise.

    2023 Israel–Hamas war

Genuine question, what evidence is there that (beyond a few fringe lunatics) people are supporting Hamas? I've seen support pro Palestine support but my understanding is that pro Hamas support in Australia is a crime.

    2023 Israel–Hamas war

I find the actions from both sides of this conflict to be equally disgusting. What has really baffled me though has been the apparent need for people and companies to take a side on the issue. I won't name the company, but today I saw a US multinational sending out a "we stand with Israel"...

    Possible Liverpool Stadium

In many senses, this is a great move for our club. The Liverpool to Campbelltown region is absolutely enormous population wise (and young). It will also grow even further with the new airport opening up. The actual site seems like a weird one to me. While it's not that far from the station...

10 games at Cambo & LO in 24

A good step towards moving from a team to a club again.

    Jahream Bula #269

Hope the young bloke got a massive pay bump. A great player with a great attitude in a key position who is on the way up is like striking oil.

    Referendum 2023

Big yes from me. - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people asked for this - Over 80% of Aboriginal people support it, so a very broad spectrum of people from different socioeconomic groups, political beliefs, remote/rural/urban geography - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander are asking...

Tim Watsford ? Any Truth to this

Indeed I did. I should have referred to him as Chief Event Manager. I stand corrected.

Tim Watsford ? Any Truth to this

If true, this looks like the worst signing since Jamal Idris. We desperately need someone who can help build a footy club, not an events manager.

Bulldogs defend ‘punishment’ of player who walked out and didn’t return

As much as I know that these wrestling things happen, it's outdated and desperate stuff from Ciraldo and Gould. The sport has a terrible track record when it comes to mental health of young blokes. Sometimes with the most tragic of endings.

Players that declined after leaving Wests Tigers

I always thought Curtis Sironen never kicked on like he should have. The bloke was as big as a McMansion but with absolutely incredible ball skills. For mine he could have been the next SBW, but obviously I was wrong.

I don't think the great Adrian Lam (part Chinese heritage) has got a mention yet?

    Lee Hagipantelis

While it's not written into the sponsorship contract as such, the number of big sponsors over the years who have influence over board spots is as long as your arm.

    Lee Hagipantelis

Putting up your business's money that you could otherwise be pocketing counts as skin in the game in my opinion. As far as I can figure out, Brydens seem to be minor sponsors of Souths and Newscastle and he is not chair or a director of either. If he was, it then becomes a conflict of interest...

    Lee Hagipantelis

I'm not a Lee fan but surely a Chair with some 'skin in the game' is better?
