My sources say the same thing. I think some of the posters on this thread are being bit harsh on our KOE despite the floggings with a number of last year Jersey Flegg players. They really have missed a lot of football over the past 2 seasons so in my opinion, it may take some time for them to...
When you see an opposing player (Hynes) standing upright for a possible shepherd and nobody goes in and belts him (legally), it does my head in. I could be wrong but I don’t think that’s what they call a “dog shot”? Why not hit him and let him know you’re there and mean business?
Then we let a...
I’m sorry and I love this club but the lack of desperation even when someone is bringing the ball around to score shows just how unprofessional we are. Very easy to blame Madge but come on! These players need to show more desire. They may as well just pick whatever is left from last year’s...
How & when he comes back will be interesting & I haven't seen any updates from the club. Sounds as though Tommy Talau is struggling with his recovery from media reports so there are no guarantees. Then he will have missed out on almost 3 full seasons. Will his pace still be there as he will have...
I can't really say whether Rua is as good as Simpkins or Liddle but what I can say, having watched him quite regularly the past year or so (2020 was a write off due to Covid), he has the makings of an excellent NRL footballer. Tough, good defence and gives 100% every time. He didn't win the JF...

It’s not rocket science - I remind my boys all the time. Applies not just to high level sport but life.
It works.
Don't forget Rua - JF Player of The Year. Seems to be left out quite a bit. Not just a great player but a great leader. A few of last year's JF have developed quite a bit physically I hear. Let's hope they get a good grounding from training with the NRL squad.
It's interesting - unless things have changed much since 2021, Cini was 91kgs and Kepaoa 89kgs. Talau 92kgs. What can be forgotten is that these players are still young and growing into their bodies at 20 & 21. A lot depends on what they have also done since lockdown - many have kept up their...
I haven't heard his name mentioned but that might not mean anything. Would be a damn shame as probably the most likely pressing for first grade in 2022 from the young guys. Nothing against Kevin but at 33, we would seem to be going back to the future. I get the current Jersey Flegg group from...
Good to see NSWRL promote some good news about the WTs. These boys were a very good side and very well coached.
Shame they didn’t show some of his bone jarring defence. Tough as nails.
Let’s hope they all kick on.
I agree - Ogden a much better prospect. Very hard to say in mid 20s - I'm going to work on my defence. Not saying it can't be fixed completely but much harder if you can't do it by that age. Ogden can also play wing.
I think you’ll find it’s not a little thing and the disorganisation throughout the club is real and systemic in many areas. Let’s hope they are righting the wrongs and get their act together.
The club needs a good kick up the backside and is clearing the decks as it should.
It’s meant to be a...
All I can say is that I am aware a number of our junior stars have been promised a lot but getting paperwork for next year has never been forthcoming. If you speak to some of the agents, they have been pulling their hair out for months.
This club is so bloody disorganised - whether someone was...
I agree @Demps - the issue for some of these young players is they have had very little football the past 2 seasons. I'm not sure whether they will be ready for first grade but I suppose there's only one way to find out. Unfortunately we might need to be patient if they don't make the transition...
