Absolutely he didn’t. That’s the side of douhei that we just can’t keep covering if we ever want to be a top 4 side.

LIVE GAME Round 9 vs Dragons

Naden has missed 2 tackles resulting in tries, lost the ball and can’t handle Holmes. He is killing us.

    2025 Injury Update

Absolutely right - completely changes the game when your middles and outside backs are struggling to get out of their 30 metre zone. A guy who can kick like Moses or Fogerty can switch the whole dynamic around and immediately you’re nailing the opposition in their 20. Takes so much pressure off...

    2025 Injury Update

Not convinced on Latu being able to play week in week out NRL, at least not for a few years at best. This is not about ability it’s his lack of physical resilience that’s the problem. I believe we need a proper game managing 7 with a real kicking game. We missed out on Fogerty and when you look...

TEAM LIST Round 9 vs Dragons

Staines tries hard - there will be no problem with that. It’s just that he’s simply not effective. He makes little to zero metres on his hard carries, his D is mistake ridden and passive. Also I imagine he is far from match fit.

TEAM LIST Round 9 vs Dragons

Val Homes too much speed for Naden and AD. I can see them bashing us up the middle then swinging it wide and trying to get around us. Hopefully they aren’t on their game. We’ll see what we’re made of after a tough and highly emotional game last week. Question will be can we rise again to the...

Really hope the club and TDS can come to a resolution. He needs to be patient as he will be playing more and more minutes of NRL as time goes on and within a couple of years he’ll take over - he’ll be 21 or so. He needs that time to get fitter and stronger and learn from the master. The club...

TEAM LIST Round 9 vs Dragons

Noticed that too Wiz. Actually doesn’t say a lot about his ‘team first’ attitude does it. He’s an enigma with regard to effort and hunger - every now and then he plays the house down and then for weeks he looks totally disinterested.

TEAM LIST Round 9 vs Dragons

Really miss Skelton- Naden not filling me with confidence. God I hope AD had a bit of a niggle last week, he couldn’t possibly have been slower to move and his ptbs are just painful.

TEAM LIST Round 9 vs Dragons

Yep. There’s a few sides that we struggle against (eg Dragons, Raiders, Warriors) that power over us through the middle. Then on the edges where we have been vulnerable. Big team that runs hard on their day so we have to muscle up big time.

    Latu Fainu #282

Thanks for the correction Happy T, i had read somewhere that it was a broken “finger” so wasn’t aware it’s a thumb. Broken both of mine - one picking up a loose ball from behind a rugby ruck that the opposing breakaway was trying to boot, and the other whilst skiing. Painful and a bit awkward...

    Luai and the #6 jersey

Luai is unlikely on current form - Cleary and Moses. I’m happy with that as he will then focus on the Tigers and improving his own form.

    Latu Fainu #282

Kicking game ……. That’s the weakest skill of our current halves and definitely needs plenty of work. Galvin has kicked poorly and is a little trigger happy at times. Luai’s short kicking game is probably better, and I haven’t seen enough of Latu to form an opinion. None can kick long well. The...

LIVE GAME Round 8 v Sharks

Just not enough points with that wind advantage. The try on halftime will prove costly. Why can’t we focus for 5 mins before and after half time for gods sake!!

I have reconsidered KPP since reading that Bullemore is managed by Moses, maybe all he needs is a fresh start and some new found Tigers spirit. On that topic, I am so disappointed by the crap that has pervaded our club in the last few weeks. I had been feeling really excited by what I thought...

Please let’s not talk about bringing past players like Hastings or Matterson back to the club- we need to move forward not backward. These guys weren’t great when they were here last time and haven’t been since they left, so why would we want them back.

Have Staggs and Cobbo re-signed with Broncs? Would love Staggs - the guy is a beast and has the competitive intent to lead your outside backs. I think Toa would improve with him around and may even reach his potential. Bula, Toa, Skelton, Tito and Staggs would be a formidable outside backs combo.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

My concerns are around Bula’s manager Moses and the possibility of him agitating. Both TDS and Api are coming off contract and could be on the market as of Nov this year. Latu is yet to show he is up for NRL week in and week out nor has he proven he is the guy we need, and we currently have no...

LIVE GAME Round 8 chat *spoilers*

I’m inclined to think the other angles would have looked pretty bad and required a send off or demand for a higher grade from the judiciary. Limited vision means less scrutiny so he can continue to be a protected species.

In my mind our first priority must be to stabilise our spine for the next 3-4 years. This means we need to straighten out Bula’s intentions, re-sign TDS, extend Api and Latu (if he’s the one) and secure a decent back up half that can step up when needed. Once this is done we move on positions...
