Galvin lazy again in D

Reality check on where every player on the field needs to be mentally every week. Big lesson on top 4 footy. The way last week went for Storm we should have been better prepared for this.

We still have this huge problem with our first contact that is way too soft. We have 2-3 in the tackle but just hold on to the attacker and allow offloads or pcms. This enables the opposition to get way too much momentum. In turn we are backpedaling and guys like Paps can find holes everywhere...

I think the next few rounds will decide it. If Luai is a stand out over Moses the you may be right.

Unfortunately we play them with a weakened edge - Toa and Skelton are big losses. IMO Naden is just not up for it. I prefer Faataape as centre and leave Naden out. Really have to come with intent and effort for 80 minutes otherwise Storm will eat us up.

Definitely Staines on wing without Skelton - no to Naden. I think Benji picks Faataape as centre if Toa is out. If it wasn’t against Storm in Melbourne, I think Bird has not been great for a few weeks- wonder if its time Kit or Sukkar got a run soon.

Probably close to his best game for us. He’s a glider with that long stride. Not lightening off the mark but fast over distance. He is becoming tougher and more resilient as well

It could well be that Api steadies the ship when we’re on the back foot. Leadership and team management on the field are parts of our game that have been lacking in the last few seasons. Benji might feel that swapping out Api for TDS at those vulnerable times is not best for the team.

Ideally we have Toa and Skelton back and we find an edge forward somewhere. We move Seyfarth back to the bench instead of Bird. Staines is our back up winger. Naden plays the remainder of this season in KOE. Bench use doesn’t always go to plan. I feel like we should be utilising our bench...

Benji always straight up in the post match interviews. He clearly was unhappy with the performance. It’s a good sign I think, not only him but the players that spoke He is starting to lose patience with the media and has no time for stupid questions. If he sticks at coaching for years to come...

Man, that was hardly convincing. Not really great D. Highlights our lack of depth Injuries could yet sabotage our season.
