My take on it is that he probably has indicated not being happy if API is extended and being close to the Galvin camp has no doubt steered the club away from having a gun at their head for an unproven contract. The club gets stability and a player ahead of time that wants to be here.

What I have noticed outside of Newcastle nearly every side has more upside for an upset win rather than us. Or am I just looking at us through rose coloured glasses.

I cant profess to fully understand the politics of this situation with the details I am reading here , but my take is we can’t allow this loss to occur with some reward this time . Surely Richo has got a plan B that involves a player swap or we do as originally planned and play him reserve grade...
