I heard Sheens say on an obscure leadership podcast last year that he would still be coaching Wests Tigers today if Tedesco hadn't been injured in that first game.

He had his best season in 2012. That was the weirdest season of them all.

I wouldn't say that Bird has been a dud. We signed him for 2 seasons max as a utility, also for a bit of experience around the sheds as well. . He wasn't signed as the main man to drive our season or win us games. That was never the plan or the expectation. He's kept fit and he's done OK...

Yeah it does. Weirdly, those two yanks do a superb job with that football team. They get the right people in, back them, and keep at it. They picked the right club too. They nearly got Hartlepool instead. Anyway, they treat a non-league welsh with more care and focus than the HBG treats us.
