His first half was probably the best half of footy he's played for us but his second half was quite poor. We need another kicking option on the right. I feel we're too limited with structuring our sets when they all need to end up towards the left for his kicks.

Yep. Luai was very good in the first half but arguably our worst in the second half. Latu needs to be starting, whether it's in the 6 or 7. He's too talented to not be on the field at all times.

Fwiw Luai getting hooked in the 2023 grand final, moving Cleary to 6 and playing Cogger at 7 totally shifted that match and won it for Penrith.

Luai doing a job as a caretaker 7 for a then 3x premiership team isn't really evidence that he can be a successful full time 7 in the league for a rebuilding team.

You can't really compare Doueihi to To'a. No-one's rushing to sign Doueihi when he's barely first grade standard at centre. To'a is a good first grader.
