    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Rumour going around that Tigers are looking to make a few key signings from 1-17 in the next few months.

    THE ORACLE.

Totally agree re Ponga. Now watch him put on a masterclass against us.

TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Knights

It doesn't all get pinned on him for me. But a halfback is a large part of a clubs success as well. It goes both ways. If we had Cooper Cronk, instead of Luke Brooks for example, our results would be vastly different. There is no argument here.

TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Knights

Of course there are more factors at play, but there is also one common denominator amongst it all. If you are seriously going into bat for Luke Brooks though, sheesh.

TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Knights

10 years and 1 game isn't a big enough sample size for you?

TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Knights

Only 2 more games were won without Brooks over the same period. It's kind of redundant though, because you're in reserve halfback territory for a wooden spoon contending team.

TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Knights

We won against Souths and Parra in 2022 with him in the halves. These stats are wrong, but it did make me do some digging. We have won 10 of a possible 49 games that he has played in since 2021. 8 games in 2021, 2 games in 2022, and 0 games so far in 2023. What other NRL club would accept...

TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Knights

Yeah he did. There was one offload where he had 3 defenders on him, Brooks got it and crabbed his way to the sideline giving his outside backs no room to work with

Am I the only one who wasn't really impressed with Papali'i? He looked like his mind was elsewhere if I am being honest. Sure, he made 150 metres which was great, but he dropped a few balls and didn't seem to have a huge impact/dent the line that often compared to what I am used to seeing from...

Josh Feledy is also a fine centre prospect. He has been single handedly changing games from what I have seen.

Recently re-signed on a long term deal (not that it means much in todays economy, I know). At the moment, Moses really is our best option. He kicks goals too, and that continues to be an issue for us.

Probably pumped up at his teams defensive effort. Yeah, we made a lot of errors, but they kept turning up in D and shut us out at crucial periods of the game. Not enough credit going their way for how long they hung on for. I think they're a little underrated. Have lost a lot with Beau Fermor...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Personally, I would give the role to Staines based off what I saw yesterday. Staines looks ready and willing no matter the position he is in. I was very hesitant on his signing but I totally understand why he's been signed now. I don't think he has the same fear. I would rather have a fullback...

Fair assessment but I think you hesitate when you are fearful of what might happen.

Daine Laurie - as much as I had hoped for the best - is one of our biggest issues. Great with the ball in hand and chewed up plenty of metres, but he is afraid to put his body on the line. All the best fullbacks - including a 80 kilo Brett Hodgson, consistently risk it all to get to that high...

Caryannis reporting this on fox "As it stands, Moses is yet to confirm his long-term future with the Tigers tabling a mammoth five-year $1.5 million per-season deal" The only ones who can't make their mind up are the journos reporting on the figure
