I think Makasini may need a little more time. He’s still at school so still hasn’t been training full time or been in a professional setting. He will need a full preseason and at least half the season to get used to the professional environment.

I've always been pro Benji, but that was his worst coaching performance to date. Picked one prop on the bench and didn't even play him. Had 4 different players play lock during the game (Seyfarth, Latu, Bird and Murray), with 3 on the field at one time. Major mismatch in the air between...

I can’t wait to see an attacking right edge of Latu, KPP, To’a and Turuva with Bula sweeping.

Based it off what i have heard from 2 current NRL players... They would know better than anyone. He's one of the first on the tip sheets for match ups, which is rare for a second rower. Hes in his second full year of first grade and if you know the game, service from the halves is more important...

Maybe thats why hes a Blacktown coach and not anything more. Not to mention thats when he was 18 and had different body, frame and opposition. I will start by saying, he's 21! He is definitely one of our best players, even at his age hes our best forward after May (not including Api). It...

He said that prior to last season, before he won player of the year at second row. Can't take too much from that. Samuela knows hes better suited at second row and have heard that he speaks to Haumole regularly about how he cant improve at second row. Please, can the forum stop moving our best...

Absolutely, he's a low cost recruit who could end up being a top level player. I've always been a massive fan of Hassett. He has the potential of being Liam Martin 2.0, even has the same body and play style. Played NSW u19s and just needs a chance in first grade. Hassett, Taylan May, Tyrone...

Interesting that you've heard the same as me, especially considering my source isn't a player agent

I heard a whisper that Fifita could be going to Penrith to play on the left edge. Sorensen probably headed to Super League at the end of the year. Not sure what that would mean for Papalii.

He's been pretty decent in the super league. Starting 7 for Hull who are leading the league. I don't think anyone is talking him up as a starting player but he would be a good option on a cheap deal as a depth player. Can play in the halves, lock, back row and even at 9 if needed. Good...

Yep, Naden is on 450k. Happy to give him 400k (Nadens money). I would give Gagai a 2 year deal (second year club option) to initially partner Starford and mentor Makisini until he's ready. He would be good for culture and is still as reliable as they come despite his age.

I prefer May at prop. While he can play lock, it would take away from his best asset which is his ball running and offloading which creates second phase play. If he was to play the lock role he would need to shift his focus from ball running to ball playing. I think we would be much better...

Some of the posts on this forum seriously confuse me. We have a top 3 prop in the game (May) and people want to move him to lock. Then some want to move our player of the year last year (Samuela) from back row (where he won POTY) to prop. Thank god the forum doesn’t coach the team :D

Samuela’s body type is better suited to back row. He’s tall and powerful. They’re the players you want running at halves 1 on 1.

Ryan Papenhuyzen recently mentioned in his podcast that when he played juniors with Doueihi he played at lock and was a gun there. I could see Doueihi filling the Jack Bird role off the bench. Coming on as a ball playing lock and covering the backline if there are any injuries.

Api will be 34 by then. He would be a good choice to lead the team for a couple years before retirement. Great way for him to get a final paycheck and set up the rest of his life.

It’s negotiations, so if the agent is asking for 600k you would assume the number they’re willing to settle on/take would actually be around the 550-500k mark. Cap will be even more in 2027 and there will be an extra 12million in the league with the Bears around. 500-550k is a more than fair...

What makes you say Haywood is the one? Genuinely curious. From what I saw/have seen, Tallyn was by far the best 9 in his SG Ball season and was playing in the NRL that year. He had something like 9 tries in 10 games playing hooker. Haywood was probably the 3rd-4th best hooker in SG Ball this...
