    Not hundreds of thousands - for a player who is a local junior and who has only played 30 minutes of first grade and has reasonable prospects of an average career (which is currently about 75 games) in the NRL. Every club has hyped up juniors until they don't realise the supposed potential...

    I don't think he gets hundreds of thousands of dollars yet - still they haven't restricted the rights of any other player to play for their country. Bateman is and they won't be able to release him so why do it for Miller ?

    And he could have stayed until we got sick of the situation and let him go anyway. His agent is unlikely to offer any information that would likely hinder his client's ability to sign at another club.

    Well obviously both parties didn't see a future together - that's the way contracts get mutually terminated. If there's no 3rd party involved how do you "get something out of it"?

    His contract was mutually terminated and he then signed with Manly - there was no leverage to be gained because he was able to sign with any club once the contract was terminated.

    Next we'll get the " I have to earn back the trust of my teammates" - really. You and they are professional sportsmen who don't care what you do outside of the 80 minutes you play rugby league ( they are just glad they didn't get caught). This is just so predictable.

    You don't need bulk or leg speed or wrestle in the tackle if the brain is two steps quicker than the defence. Notice how all the players were in motion around the ball creating confusion in the defence - they didn't run through the line the were just in motion, it was perfect.
