    You just can't medically retire someone because you want to - there are insurance companies involved as they make the payment to the player, and they require a significant amount of corroborating evidence to pay the money. And it would preclude the player from playing professional rugby league...

    To do what - follow your advice on how they should lead his life ? Rugby league is only a game and not a very important one in the scheme of things. If he wants to play football or doesn't want to play football is his choice and I guess he doesn't get to comment on your life choices.
