His defence has improved out of sight. Whenever teams go towards his side I don't feel any panic as he makes the right decision more often than not. Sadly though after however many knee reconstructions he has had he is now too slow. Dane Gagai on a 1 year deal would be amazing.

Staines is way too good for reserve grade, but Skelton and Turuva are both ahead of him. Fair play to him if he sticks around but I'd understand if he moved on.

Nothing new in this article. Re: favourites in the playing group, of course a coach has favourites. I'm sure Cameron Smith was one of Craig Bellamy's favourites. It's like, no shit sherlock that the coach treats his best players well.
