Going by the trial, Simkins game has improved immensely. Don't be surprised if Api ends up in the halves,which he has played before, and Simkin is the hooker. It's a long shot, but with injuries this could happen. Or even Simkin in the halves, another long shot.

Petty, - they were some of the best agreed, but any big fast body at 6ft 2in is going to stretch out 2m and score most times. It was a cheap shot that is common to some.

Rediclulous this repeated dig , 9 out of 10 top fullbacks would have ended up with the same result. We have a recent history with our halve, fullbacks. the whole backline, tackling like schoolgirls, and you single out one guy who showed courage and got run over.

When i watched the game the second time, i mentioned how good Simkins looked, and trials can be misleading, but Kepaoa was a standout with his energy in attack and defence. I think he could be more then a Mr fix it .

Laurie was busy, but high ball shy. The first game will tell us, because if it was obvious at the trial, and last years games, it will be obvious to the opposition. Love his heart but better suited to the halves.

I would wait and see if Stains , Bula or others step up before spending a million or more. RTS is getting on, Suaalii and Cobbo no chance , Welsby looks a small chance'. None would be available this year and we have a couple that might be ready next year.
