Yep - I am more concerned if we miss Bateman. Both Moses and Bateman played well in the World Cup, so I would be happy if either or both came. Bateman was not that good for Wigan this year, but I still think he can add something to the Tigers at a much smaller price than Moses.
Agree with what you are saying Happy. I actually had a bet on NZ to take home the trophy prior to the tournament. I hope they have a look at the game against Fiji and realise they need to do more in attack to beat Australia - and yes, that means getting more from Dylan Brown.
I thought the same myself. Look at the way England are playing. They combine strong forward play with attack that asks a lot of questions..support play, changes of angles, eyes up football. It seemed to me that Joey Manu took it on himself to add to a planned attack that consisted of lots of hit...
I am happy that we may be getting Klemmer, Bateman and Brown because they are tough. I don't necessarily mean tough in that they will belt the opposition, but tough in that they won't give up. Our squad dropped their chins way too easily when things went against them over the last few years. I'm...
Agree with you. The only two who might be a loss are Luciano and Nu Brown - possibly. In saying that Luciano was good in attack, but his lazy defence was a liability.
I agree coaching is the biggest influence on a team's performance. I have always thought that and if the team does fail next year, then I agree Tim, Benji will be held accountable. Here's hoping they can get all the players believing in themselves and playing to their potential.
Hope you're right. I am quietly confident there will be real lift in performances next year, but like everyone here I have seen so many false dawns. But I need to get past that. Bring on 2023.
i'd take both of them. I think we have space for both. Mate, add those two and we are starting to look like a Top 8 pack of forwards: Stefano, Api, Klemmer, Leinu, Papalli, Hastings: Blore, Twal, Pole on the bench. I like it!
