Not sure we need Fifita now if we are going with Sam F and KPP as our starters. Our backups become Sukkar, Seyfarth, Bird and Saukuru. In a balanced cap you spend the potential Fifita money elsewhere.

Only problem is they are both on contracts next year for good money (and Tupou still has 3 years to run on his). You can’t renegotiate for less time or money. Only way you save is if their existing club offers to pay a % but in Tupou’s case you have to take on the 3 years.

I actually thought he was a handy player early in the year especially when balanced with a big minute prop like May. He was offering a high level of metres per minute of play (say 20 mins) and had strong post contact metres. As an impact prop he was providing value, but fallen away terribly.

Agree. Don’t know how you can be called a development club when you basically turned over your entire top 30 over a few years by bringing in new external players. And then more recently poaching the best junior talent from other clubs. Admittedly they did do a fine job refreshing their roster...

He’s never played a game of KOE so can’t see him being near NRL anytime soon.

Was thinking is there an option to play Latu as a 13 for the next couple of years (probably sharing the role with a starting middle type player and coming on after 25-30mins)? Pair this with targeting a controlling 7 with a solid kicking game. Wouldn’t have to be an elite 7, more a serviceable...

Doesn’t seem to stop the Jonah Pezets of the world playing reserve grade for years for teams like Melbourne. Getting the starting gig also didn’t stop Galvin from leaving for less money either.
