    Lee Hagipantelis

Talk about a bonehead PR move. I would have never been aware of the podcast or what was said if he hadn't pulled the legal threats card. The bloke should walk away from footy and stick to chasing ambulances.

    Sheens sacking, right decision

There's a very experienced NRL figure who has always said that sacking the coach is almost never the answer.

    Sheens sacking, right decision

    Wayne Bennett is older.

    Sheens sacking, right decision

Of course we should. Even if Benji is "ready" that does not mean he's the best man for the job.

    Sheens sacking, right decision

I'm still struggling to understand how squeezing out a very experienced coach and replacing him with somebody who has never coached is anything other than crazy.

    How we Develop players

Development is a numbers game. You need a lot of young guys coming through the ranks. For the past decade we haven't had enough guys coming through the development program to supply the NRL team. Most young guys in a development program will never make first grade. Some will play a handful of...

POLL: Should the club fold and handover/sell the licence?

f you're gunning for the club to fold, it's time to find a new team or hobby.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Justin Holbrook is a good coach, a likeable guy and a good football mind but I can say with 200% certainty that he will offer nothing more than Tim Sheens. I'm not any kind of club insider but let's just say that I've seen both in action and for what it's worth, I think both are very good...

The worst thing about following a crap club

I'd love to see us winning games as much as the next fan, but I still get some pleasure from watching when we're not doing well. Despite popular opinion, there are plenty of games where the guys are having a go. I also get a buzz from seeing a young bloke make his debut in front of friends...

Who do we need to bring in to change our culture?

For too many years our problem has been that we have the culture of a team, but not a club. We've been focussed on selling pet memberships, playing at more stadiums than the Harlem Globetrotters to make a few bucks and getting more Facebook fans. It's time for the board to draw a line in the...

    Lee Hagipantelis

I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's hard to see it as anything other than an effort to squeeze Sheens out. For a number of years, the chair(s) and CEO of the club have worked overtime to spin good PR in the media. Stories about how we're making a profit, memberships are through the...

    Lee Hagipantelis

Lee is an absolute bonehead. He has created problems among the playing group previously when there didn't need to be any. What chair with half a brain goes public and says a very popular club man will be mowing lawns? Now he has created problems among the coaching group by hand picking a key...

    Daine Laurie #237

This is a pretty widely used defensive tactic by many clubs, particularly when defending close to the line.

    Daine Laurie #237

I've never been a huge Laurie fan, but I think his speed will really help us create more opportunities in attack. Personally I'm not too worried about his defence. I suspect one of our strong defenders will shadow him to reduce the number of one on one tackles he needs to make.

Our centers 'race to the bottom'...

We no doubt have a different point of view on this one, but the 2023 stats show without a shadow of a doubt that our problem is creating opportunities, not finishing them.

Our centers 'race to the bottom'...

While it's absolutely true that centres need to be good defenders, the reality is a little more complicated. Every NRL club works on getting overlaps and numbers out wide. Even the best centres can't stop that.
