    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

In fact, Yeoh in 2024 & May in 2025 are remarkably similar stat lines. But May offloads more.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The only similarity between May & Haas is minutes on the field. I've started thinking of Terrell May more in terms of Yeoh. Hit-ups, but just as likely to be a ball player at the line. It's up to guys like Sione, Pole, Hunt to get the impact running metres. Twal is the classic working prop...

    OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

As always- I find myself agreeing with a lot of what you say. Thing is with Luai, he is (likely) fairly responsible for the quality of the recruitment. Players want to play with good players. The May's for sure. Is his PLAY worth $1m? Probably not. Is his effect worth $1m? I'd argue it is.

    OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Thing is- if it's not Jerome that has made these changes to the club- the better results, the greater commitment on the field etc- where does it come from? Benji? Hodgo? Turuva? Who or what is responsible for our greater competitiveness in 2025?

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Before we all start depressed prior to KPP even arriving- what we need is for him to be a better option than Bird or Seyfarth have been. I think he starts way above that line already. So unless he regresses, he's an upgrade to the starting squad, and therefore the depth is stronger. Adding in...

    Alex Twal

Royce is a different beast though. You don't get the same play from him. We need more than 1 hitup in 15 minutes. But, what he did the last few rounds is fine- that's what you get. He needs a wreckingball partner, or a hardhead, no nonsense aggressive beast to turn the momentum in games. Pole...
  7. The Chad

    Alex Twal

I think having Terrell May playing a similar role- big minutes, efficient tackling etc, took some of the workload off Alex. Seemed to play faster this year- not bogged down in slogging it up. He's a good player. For years he has lead our defensive line speed.

    2026 GOALS

Win games we are supposed to win. Continue to improve attacking structures & defensive structures- removing the 'lucky' aspect Win the contest (physical, mental) We do those things & the rest takes care of itself

Canberra proves you don't need a Yeoh clone to succeed.

    Fonua Pole #257

I don't see a lack of effort. He's just not 100% switched on all game. Sione has become the starter in my opinion. With KPP on board, Sione moves back to the front row. Pole & Hunt off the bench gives some impact.

    OFFICIAL Royce Hunt #298

Since coming back into 1st grade I'm happy enough. Can he be upgraded? Sure. But not by what we have in the squad.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I'm not sure Corey Allan provides anything that Naden, Mapapalangi, Tu'itupou, Saukuru or Heath Mason don't already offer. Could be as simple an issue as, if the depth at centre gets tested, Adam Doueihi or Jack Bird need to fill in. I think May, To'a & Makasini along with Doueihi, Bird...

Been saying the same thing- we lack that guy who tries to turn the momentum for us- a big hit, line speed, not getting bullied etc. You know who I'd recommend anyway.

The Miracle Thread - Mathematical Chances 2025

Make it a round 50. Make it easier on us for the Titans.
  16. The Chad

The most important signing of the past decade in my opinion.

    OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May #301

Much more powerful than I remember him at Penrith. Genuine danger in attack that gives us a player able to break the line. Lets just hope he keeps his head straight, because he's an outstanding addition.

    Latu Fainu #282

Looked good today. Effort is there- he just has to put the pieces together. Once he came off with that HIA, the structure fell apart & Drinkwater took advantage.
  19. The Chad

    OFFICIAL Jeral Skelton #294

Skelton & Turuva have really upgraded our wing spots & offered great metres on early tackles all season.

    3-2-1 3 2 1 vs Cowboys

    3. Terrell May & Alex Twal- both lead through actions in the middle. Set the defensive tone when on. Wasn't their defence that let us down. 2. Luai- getting so much better as the season goes on. 1. Turuva, Taylan May, Sam Fainu, Bula...all were good. Skelton on his early tackle runs was good...
