    CEO - Shane Richardson

For the most part I think people are just expressing their viewpoint. A lot of people here are interested in the club’s governance and management and how that impacts the success of the club as a whole. I get it, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but your comments prompted a lot of interesting...

As a for profit business it’s entirely the “grand plan” of the board and CEO to make the club profitable. In addition HBG should absolutely be contributing funding to WT in addition to bankrolling junior leagues and pathways.

No, you’re entitled to not give a shit but not everyone shares your point of view.

The cynic in me suspects HBG ran WT at a loss to maintain control over the operations. Our current board and CEO aims to break that dependency and enable the club to stand on its own.

    CEO - Shane Richardson

While the NRL and some clubs are not-for-profit, WT is a for profit business. As CEO it is literally part of Richo’s job to make the club profitable. When he talks about the improvements in club sales and revenue he’s referencing the financial indicators he and the board are accountable for...

Sure, but what happened between December 2024 and July 2025 that had a big impact on the optics of a player signing with Moses? It’s no secret who was behind the dossier of grievances and the bullying claims. To be fair I think AD knows Moses is his best shot to get a contract at another club...

Sure, he has a say in the players he wants but he doesn’t have a say in the contract amount that’s offered. That’s Richo and the board. If a player receives a better offer elsewhere they may accept it even if the coach wanted them to stay. That’s standard practise across the nrl although some...

A strategic plan contains high level aims and objectives for establishing and maintaining a successful organisation. Recruitment and retention practices would usually be part of this and there would be a set of criteria for the types of players that are needed and requirements for how contract...

The way we get out of this mess is to develop a strategic plan and stick to it. Richo and Benji have a plan, they’re sticking to it and not letting anybody derail it. Not the board, not sponsors, not the media, not player agents, not the players, not fans or supporters. Richo has blueprints for...

Sorry GNR, I take that back. I get what you’re saying, there might be some kind of save face aspect to the pursuit of Reynolds. I just find it frustrating some times when people bag the club and think there’s no reasonable, rational explanation behind their actions. We all know so little about...

Sounds like you just made that up to support a predetermined conclusion. We had $$ to pay LG a million a season to play as a half so clearly money wasn’t an issue for Reynolds at $750K. As for other halfbacks, where has the club or anyone said we’re not pursuing anyone? It seems like your word...

I don’t know how the Reynolds approach was handled internally but I just can’t see Richo and Benji disrespecting Luai like that. I think they have enough sense to have spoken to Luai and only moved forward once they were comfortable he was on board with the plan. 🤷‍♂️

Agreed that he is accountable but there was an ineptitude in the previous admin that we don’t have now. Sure Richo didn’t get his mark but we weren’t left with egg on our face like the failed Lattrell or JAC signings of the past admin. There’s a big difference in a player declining an offer...

Like putting your last $$ on a horse with the longest odds with the hope that you’ll win your money back? How often does that work out? Expecting a newly signed player, on a t&t contract, who hasn’t played in over a year and has active metal health issues to be rushed into fg to save our season...
