    Isaiah Papali’i #265

He has already entered into a contract with the WT's to provide his services to the club from that date and the club have undertaken to pay him ~$600K/a from that date and for the following 3 years. He is subject to a binding employment contract. He cannot just walk away from it and the club...

Round 16 team vs Warriors *Official*

Agreed and well said, which is why I think having Api next year is going to improve the quality of our forward pack. He's a great little schemer.

34 year old Jesse Bromwich who is on the slide and 33 year old Mark Nicholls are their starting props with ~90kg Ray Stone as starting lock. It's hardly a great pack. Kaufusi and Kenny Bromwich will both be on the wrong side of 30 next season too.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not next year with Hastings and Koroisau steering the ship and Papali'i leading the pack. We'll be better than that dross. They may yet get some marquee signings though, I'd imagine they'd have plenty of cap space left from the look of that lineup...

Mata'utia and Sironen are, I think Ma'u is off contract at Hull FC. I wouldn't be signing a coach just to increase the chances of landing any of those blokes anyway, I just think they'd be decent veteran options that should be able to hold their own on an edge.

I'd probably go with John Morris. He brought a few young players through quite well in his few seasons at Cronulla and they were at least competitive despite being crippled by some terrible contracts (Dugan, Moylan, Johnson). Already has some connections within the club too. Woolf has only had...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Assuming we miss out on Nikora and Crichton (as seems likely), we might be better off trying to bring a veteran back from ESL rather than get whatever is left of the NRL offerings. Ma'u, Sione Mata'utia and Sironen are all running around over there and shouldn't be completely washed given their...

I can see why you would say that, but they shouldn't. Ciraldo is seen as the next big thing (for whatever reason) and is going to have a string of coaching offers coming his way. He can afford to knock some back. Most of the other options have to run the risk of missing out on years of good pay...

Nathan Brown is quite a few years from his bets He started well at Brisbane and then was ordinary. They were happy to cut him and they have improved significantly without him. He then did nothing for the Warriors. Not sure why you think he'd help turn this club around.

Well he has a few options here. 1) He could just not go on radio shows; 2) If he feels he must go on radio shows, he could place conditions around questions asked of him relating to recruitment; or 3) He could just flat out "no comment" any such questions. Seems more like he just enjoys...

So sorry to hear the news. He was such a good, decent bloke. Always a peacemaker, defusing tensions on here with a well-placed (but usually terrible) joke. Thanks for making this forum a better place Geo. Your tolerance and generosity often put me to shame. I'll try to remember to think of you...
