I thought he was off pace, his ball distribution was ordinary and he at times turned his back when getting onside.
I don’t have him as a regular bench spot to cover for Api at this stage - but there is an opportunity for someone to step up.
I think teams will pick 4 forwards, 1 back and a utility (prime hooker/lock coverage) as the 6.
They will then hold out for the last interchange player until the 60-65min mark in most games.
It’s basically means the extended bench players don’t get reduced now and some players are going to...
Right now we lack an organizational halfback, lock & need Hunt/Bunty/Pole to step into the pin roller style bash option.
Will be interesting how the team make up and Benji bench rotations work out with extra options at his disposal.
With coaches now being able to have 6 bench spots named to use only 4 I can see him get a run if he sets the world on fire early in reggies.
He wasn’t brought back to be a nsw cup player long term and Benji likes to play youth.
Seyfarth isn’t a backrower he should be used in the middle. As a backrower he always over commits and ends up in the middle creating large gaps on his edge. Train him as a middle only.
RIP Scottie.
One heck of a character and one of the most passionate fans you could find.
He was active on the Balmain forum, then here and LU in the early days.
If you ever went to the game, bus to canberra or leagues club after a game would easily see him. Will carry his flag, tiger stuffed...
If only our owners put more into the Wests Tigers than our the fans or sponsors or the NRL did then we would have a real threat in the west.
$1m, they are paying a chunk out & we still need a CEO. If anything we will now spend more money on a contract no longer here - the typical business...
I’m measuring our squad against others.
Right now I do think we have a very nice balanced squad.
Alot of teams gets knocked down by injuries and make the finals. That’s mainly due to coaching structures.
If we miss the finals that’s more to do with coaching than our squad.
Kubler and Joint have had a massive last 18-24mths rising 1000+ rankings each.
Shame Jones wasn’t playing but get she will play the wta circuit for some early points & matches.
If injury free Joint could have a very big year in 26.
Agree. I think the changes combined with the interchange one makes it more interesting and gives better flexibility during the game especially with some of the other rule changes.
Don’t have an issue with any of them.
Like the 1st and 2nd rule in particular means Benji can carry 4 big boppers, Utility and a dedicated backline player on the bench all games.
For a team that needs to build a forward presence : leader $1m for Keon isn’t the end of the world, Haas isn’t going to a rebuild especially for $1m.
Dragons will pay $1m plus for 2-3 players anyway Keon is the best of what is available by a mile. It solves a massive problem for them.
Who...
