Classic damage control, the club could realistically haemorrhage members due to this - huge backlash. The club itself is desperate to keep and build the memberships and HBG seem too stupid/naive/blinkers to realise how much damage they are doing.

Agree 100%. There's only 1 thing that hasn't changed in the past 10 years for Tigers, in the search for answers and success - the owners. We've tried roster, home grounds, coaches, assistant coaches, logo, juniors, NSW Cup, Board members, CEOs, sponsors... all changed for little to no improvement.

There's always a contrarian, huh? It's not enough to accept that many fans are upset.

In defence of PVL though, he did speak to both HBG and the Independents. I will have to assume he has far more information about what happened than any fans do. And therefore what short- or long-term compromise would be feasible. But it's also not wrong to quash any of the Wests Magpies...
