I have a feeling you’re right. The whole Luai thing has just been odd since Ivan questioned his ability. I doubt he stays at Penrith anyway. Olam seems out of favour so very possible. AFB may be the best prop in the game and we all know how that usually ends for us.

Well it depends who you listen to. According to one article today we can accommodate both Luai and AFB. Wether that means we have to offload anyone I don’t know, but I wouldn’t stress about it at this stage.

It’s funny how every flog and his dog has reported exactly what the Panthers have offered to Luai, and not one comment has been made about it. When the shoe is on the other foot and people “claim” to know what’s being offered by Wests Tigers it’s suddenly a huge pile on. In a game where people...

Does he have an offer from either of those clubs? I get what you are saying, but I don’t think that the club is that unattractive if you are looking forward instead of back. $1m extra over 4 years might help with that too.

Or it could be because he has a massive ego, and he wants to prove himself to people… including his coach who publicly questioned his ability to lead a team. Either way it could work in our favour. Or we could end up with another expensive dud. 🤷‍♂️

I think he still has a bit to prove, but he won’t do it at Penrith. While ever he is there he will always be their Scotty Pippen. If he has a genuine desire to prove himself as one of the best players in the game he is going to need to step out of Cleary’s shadow. If that’s his mentality he...

Well how did that work out for us this year? Having some experienced players who can show the young guys what it takes to be a top level player is valuable, especially when that player comes from the best system in the comp. Also, it just so happens that arguably our best player this year was...

19 year olds aren’t usually great defenders. Remember the old U20’s NYC? Most of the games were basketball scores.

You realise we have the youngest squad in the comp right?

Do Melbourne need another winger? I would take both Coates and Warbrick over Tupou.

I hope you’re right. The best we can hope for is he gets motivated and finds some sort of form again. As it stands no one is going to take over his contract so even if we release him we are still going to lose on the deal.

That’s what happens when JP is involved 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think it’s a surprise to anyone here that Ivan looks out for himself first and foremost. It really was a bizarre thing to do unless Ivan already knows he is on his way out, in which case it’s just very spiteful.

Agreed. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. How many times have we heard about the next big thing coming through and they never make it? And even if they do they leave anyway.

Samoan and NSW front-rower Stefano Utoikamanu will abandon a top-eight get-out clause and pledge long-term loyalty to Wests Tigers - but has implored his embattled club to stop leaking to the media. Utoikamanu, preparing for Saturday night’s Test match against Australia in Townsville, revealed a...

I’m not sure what people watch week to week but in my opinion Twal was very good this year. It seems to me some are stuck on the Madge version of Twal who was admittedly very average. This year he added an offload and seemed to use his leg speed and footwork a lot more and looked a much better...
