Yea i understand that and there obviously money to be made and maybe some political influence - its just that radio income is on the decline and i would think the demographics of its audience would be an ageing population with limited income.

I don't understand why he would waste his money - radio is a dying medium and AM radio is all egotistical talking heads trying to outdo each other to pump up their failing ratings

They weren't rumours - they were facts. He was in charge of Opal Aged Care when a lot of bad shit went down. As the managing Director he either didn't know about it or he turned a blind eye. Hardly the qualities of someone i would want on a board of the club.

You can wax on all you like but the bottom line is the guy was in charge when all that crap went down. So he supposedly didn't know about it or he ignored what was going on. Not the type of character you would readily appoint to a board.

Those figures are from the annual finacial report. From Canterburys annual finacial report they only paid their juniors $400k - much of a muchness.

I read somewhere that a lot of this pre season has been focusing on mental toughness to alleviate the problem of drifting out of games that are winnable. Its good to see that this was identified as a major area that needed fixing. Can only hope the staff have success instilling it.

I agree - parra have the right to ask for a player in return but if no one wants to go there then Lomax is stuck. The fact that parra moved on and signed other players with his money has nothing to do with it. Why should they strengthen another club with little in return - only loser clubs do that.
