Not necessarily true.. if they are cleaning the decks to run a more professional organisation, then this could be a good strategic move - however I don't think it applies to hbg
Its also possible that I win powerball this Thursday, but that doesn't mean I should stop working does it?
The majority of us are making decisions based on what we see at face value and the pretty solid rumour of who was about to be appointed (based on text messages witnessed by certain people...
Alex Johnston
Latrell Mitchell
Jack Wighton
Brandon Smith
Payne Haas
Cameron Murray
They are building a nice roster
Brandon Smith is the player to watch this year, will be one of their best.
I thought his sacking was overkill given the size of the bet.
Should have been given another chance on a tight leash. Would have been much better for him as a human to try and fight his demons
If these guys just came out and told us what happened, it would probably disappear into the ether (till the next balls up). The more they keep chirping away, the more people get their back against the wall, resulting in further division.
Lets talk facts then.
- No one was talking about HBG until their CEO posted a video to announce the sacking of the independent directors and new vision for the club.
-Richo resigned.
-HBG met with PVL
- HBG reinstated the directors.
So now HBG look completely incompetent.
If they want to...
From what I can see it was all on the same day. They would have hired someone to come and film the statement - its not like they had a media room to jump into an hour after the news broke. So it appears to be premeditated... not reactionary as suggested here.
