I saw Noffa play in that U21 grand final we won under Todd Payten's coaching a few years back. He was on one wing wih Marika Korobiete on the other. Opponents were Mounties/Canberra. Noffa was terrific that day. It's really sad to see where his relationship with the club has apparently now reached.

Can't imagine the club's owners, the Holman Barnes Group, going to this much trouble if they have no intention of following up on any of its recommendations which, given the shambolic way the joint has been run for years, are unlikely to be kind to our present administration.

Benji seems full on with recruitment of late (meeting with Luai etc). Is Scott Fulton still on our payroll?

I've a feeling we will get Luai. Another year at the Riff playing finals, maybe jag another premiership and then head off at 27/28 in 2025 to enormous money at our place. Why would he stick around for a lot less cash and what would he have left to achieve there, if anything?

Some players only perform at their best in a particular system. Still remember Blair signing on from the Storm some years ago when he was one of the top back rowers in the game. Looked like a fish out of water with us. Luai is a good player for sure but I'm a bit worried he won't be anywhere...

Ivan Cleary has been "warning" potential suitors for Luai that they might just find he won't be as potent a weapon without Nathan alongside him. Leaving aside Ivan's obvious desire to scare away other clubs interested in signing the bloke, he might well be right.

If Rugby Australia (or whatever they call themselves) don't go after Cheika they're nuts. But those RA-RA boofheads couldn't run a school fete so there's hope for us yet, if we really are interested in signing him up as our new chief football overseer!

Been a member for a long time so will give the new Benji era at least one more year to see what, if any improvements the club can make in the type of football we play and our general competitiveness. Not brimming with optimism but it seems only fair to see how things go next year before deciding...

I like Staines. A pretty good player and seems a nice kid as well. Fast and knows how to sniff out a try. Hope he's re-signed soon, if not already!
