    The Luai dilemma...

I think Luai coming back into 6 is non negotiable. Not just my view but probably the entire Tigers club, starting with Benji. The only way Jarome doesn't play 6 is if he requests it, and even then Benji would probably say no.

Ha ha, you're right, I'm wrong in that instance. Doesn't change the msin point I'm making though!

Yep, especially forwards such as Twal, KPP or May, who work so hard.

And, to me, it's nitpicking. Madden is not there to prevent human behemoths like Dom Young crossing for tries. He, at least made the effort and forced Young into contorting to get the ball down. Also, Luai did miss the simple one on one tackle that in the end, cost us the game v Souths.

    Team vs Broncos

Only my view but defintely harsh on Madden and, also, detrimental to the team. You obviously have not been following Toa's efforts in Cup, because based on that form, he definitely does not deserve to be picked. However, Herbert has earned his place in the squad because he was excellent v...

    The Luai dilemma...

It's not my only reasoning Lathami, I was citing an example. Just because I suggest Douehi move to the centres doesn't mean I am devaluing him as a dynamic, key member of the Tigers. He will have space and, hopefully, get lots off good service, enabling him to run, which is his go. Anyway, I...

    The Luai dilemma...

Thanks for answering. Yes, he does wear a compression sleeve but I'm not sure about some of your other observations. His stride doesn't look shorter to me and he seems to be able to run some distance before passing. Case in point was his run before setting up the try for Bula v Warriors, but...

LIVE GAME Round 6 v Knights

Yes, it should have been a reality check for Maka, but also Benji. I was surprised he was played at centre and Turuva moved to the wing. Turuva played well on the wing, in his best position, but, in my view, Marshall had them the wrong way round. Maka, clearly, has all the potential in the world...

    Team vs Broncos

I agree, our attack can still be better and is sometimes a little disjointed or clunky, however, it has improved a lot since Jock was there. In the first two games v Cowboys and Rabbitohs, our attack was far more clunky, in my view. In those two games Luai and Douehi took turns having...

    The Luai dilemma...

I like that you're keeping Jock there but many fans would be up in arms if Douehi is put on the bench. Also, he's way to damaging and valuable to the team as a talker and leader to be left out. What's with this hamstring/ needing rest issue? He certainly doesn't look like he's carrying an...

    Team vs Broncos

Our contrasting opinion to yours is not ridiculous any more than your differing view to ours. You're right, the Tigers' wins are not due to Madden. No on is saying that. The forwards are laying the platform and the team are showing incredible resilience. However, the attack, particularly in the...

    Jock Madden #244

Very astute comments. That's exactly what I see! Agreed, he is a very humble, hardworking and team first player. No ego, just gets the job done. Hope Benji keeps him there but I doubt it.

    The Luai dilemma...

You are correct on all counts I think. I want Madden at 7, I think, based on past history, Douehi expects and demands a half position and I think Benji may be a bit stubborn/ immovable.

And of course, the elephant, in the room injuries. If we can keep our best players on the field, except for the occasional, single loss, now and again, then we are a good chance. Multiple injuries and, like Parra, we will begin to struggle, despite our improved depth.

    The Luai dilemma...

I don't think Pole has been one of our strengths. The forwards have but not Pole. Frequent dropped balls and inconsistent, sometimes lazy defense. Also, Douehi is wasted on the bench. Both Jock and Adam have to be in the team. They are both playing extremely well so, as I've said many times...
