LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

I think we can compete skill wise with the top sides. It’s not a matter of capability but more of capacity. We did it for 20 minutes (each half) but fell away when our resilience was tested, firstly with some calls that didn’t go our way (set restarts) and in the second half we became fatigued...

LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

Latu looks totally lost on the right side. No attacking flair but defensively sound. We are easy to read with only having a single side for for attack. Saw him in the sideline towards the end so was obviously replaced

LIVE GAME Round 21 versus Panthers

Penrith roll the ball and “attempt” to touch the ball in the ruck but never do - gives them a fast play the ball each time.

I have watched him in KoE. He is a handful at that level. Consistently make metres and has good PCMs. Reminds me a bit of Sione Faunu in that he is both athletic and strong. A good pick up as he will add much needed depth to our middles.

Did two stints - one for 20 and then I think the second was for the last 15

OFFICIAL Pathways - KOE General Discussion

While we didn’t get the run of the green I terms of decisions, we looked gassed by the end. Royce was better this week and Taateo looks a prospect. El-Zakhem was strong and more controlled with his offloads. Jock Madden looks like an upgrade from Kurt Falls who doesn’t really add much in terms...

    Adam Doueihi #227

I think we should keep him for the right price. He has a unique skillset that looks like it might suit our team. Yes - he has his faults and previously has had a wretched run with injury but if he can lock down 13 and open up our attack while adding value through his goal kicking and general...

    Heamasi Makasini #303

I reckon if we are out of contention in the final round, Benji might be tempted to blood him (but I wouldn’t be doing it before that).

    Heamasi Makasini #303

From what I have seen, Makasini will make the adjustment to right centre. He looks like a natural footy player to me. I think having two strike centres on May and Makasini is our future.

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

Unfortunately, I think we are still learning to play together especially after all the Galvin stuff. My guess is that our attacking structures have had to change and add the Douiehi to 13 thing and Latu learning his trade - we will continue to look a bit clunky in attack but hopefully on the...

    The Doueihi move

Thought AD went better as the game went on. His second stint was better than his first. He seemed to link the left side better playing inside with Jerome who combined well with Taylan. The right side looked clunky. Latu still learning and Starford looks injured to me. Anyway - it wasn’t a total...

LIVE GAME Round 20 v Titans

It was clunky but taking a glass half full approach: * Taylan May looks to have lost nothing in his absence. Huge threat and put his winger in space. * I thought we made enough line breaks to win a bit easier * We made better yardage up the middle than last week. * The spoon is that much...

OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I am not convinced that he is a clutch player. Yes, he wants the ball in those moments but his options are often poor or at the very least low percentage plays. As a run threat, he is very limited which normally means a crabbing run across field looking for a hole runner, an audacious grubber...

    Adam Doueihi #227

I think he mentioned “you’ll have to talk to The big boss Richo about that” or words to that affect when first asked about his future. My impression is that he wants to stay - for the right price. I took away that he felt he was being lowballed in relation to what he believes is his rightful...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We are very predictable and easily handled. Our 4th tackle options are always a forward to hit up to try and get a quick play the ball (but we never do). We always play one of the ruck - trying to get a roll on I imagine but always lose the wrestle. Agree about having a first receiver that can...

    The Doueihi move

I think it works. He has size and is difficult to handle one in one but is wasted at centre as he doesn’t get to use his ball and organisational skills - which are his greatest assets. Latu and Luai are much better wider of the ruck. Today we saw he can also be a threat when he runs in the...

LIVE GAME Round 19 v Warriors

I agree - after watching KOE, I think I would play Taylan at centre and move Douiehi to 13 and probably drop Bird leaving a bench of Sione, Seyfarth, Hope and Twal.

OFFICIAL Pathways - KOE General Discussion

Our attack and defence looks so much better with Lobby and Naden at the back. May and Makasini have looked strong with space. Kit’s charges have been damaging. A much more fluent and connected second half. Given Warriors position in the ladder, we should be very competitive (with the right...
