It’s been said for decades ‘don’t read into trial form” …. points made on the podcast. With all the different players in the whole squad (reserves, juniors, first graders) they all seem to playing to a certain style. The excitement wasn’t about winning it’s about seeing a system implementation.

Murray Depth is much better this year. Charley Murray looks a lot better (after a full pre season). I think he’ll be ahead of Maverick… and Twal has been surprisingly good starting at 13 , until the games opens up and someone like Latu, Murray ect come on. I’m not as worried about 13 as I was...

Jake Averillo is a good option at centre. I think the only reason he isn’t signed is the $. We have a lot of depth in our squad. I’d prefer to lock in the cream of our squad at this stage than sign others for big $. If you got Averillo for under $400K then yes.

Once fit to play, I’d like to see how Skelton goes at right centre in State Cup. Geez he can hit in defence. Then he would be competing with Herbert for the right centre position behind Toa. I’d keep Masi on the left wing (& left centre if May was injured)

I think the NRL website must not have got the memo earlier. They have fixed it now for the first game and adjusted the team list to include the 6 man bench.

I was looking at the R1 (Vegas) team list. They look the same sort of format as 2025.

How does the 6 man bench work? Looks like the 1-17 is the same ..then a whole bunch of reserves
