I think the plan is to promote a junior and pair them with an experienced guy for a couple years at 6 then move them to 7 and promote another one, most likely Large

The risk vs the reward massively favours short drop outs, it's why basically every team does them now

Tbh it shouldn't even have went to him, that ball should've went to a half, you can't expect a guy who's played most his career as a standard forward to suddenly be able to take advantage of overlaps

The main advantage is that the defensive line can be set and there's no risk of something happening during a breakdown of play but I agree it's far from my favourite tactic especially against sides like the dragons who aren't known to be good at short dropouts

I think teddy's age and injury history are starting to slow him down , he's still one of the better fullbacks right now but I'd be hesitant to sign him
