A lot of the current Cronulla first grade squad played A LOT of reserve grade with Newtown before debuting or becoming regular first graders (they won at least one reserve grade comp). They debuted or become regular starters when they were 22 to 24 e.g. Kennedy, Iro.

I wouldn’t be against Latu dropping back to KOE to play 7 with Andrews at 6 to bring them through together into first grade for 2028.

I think he threw the pass because there was a chance he could have been pushed into touch. But the fact he ran close enough to the sideline off a kick off for that to happen is a problem in itself.
