    Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

"mate you have to try and find common ground to move forward. Harry T dosnt actually need to get involved in finding robbie money. the club has stated the money is not the issue. hes getting involved because it dosnt serve his business interests or plans to have the club in public turmoil."...

    Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

Yes & no Bobo. Yes, it shows that both Robbie & JT are grown-ups & can play nice. No- it completely removes the power of the coaching staff to be tough on any other player in the future (well, potentially). The coach is hired & fired on his ability to put a team he wants & believes in on the...

    Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

"the smartes thing they can do - if they both want to remain at the club - is sit down. eat some pie agree to a term or period of cease fire that works for both of them. eg robbie has 1 year Jt has one year to turn it around and everyone moves on" I'd disagree with that. By 'submitting' to...

    Justin Hunt....could be handy

Good signing if true- covers a few backline positions. The Tigers need a back-up Fullback, and depth on the wing. That said, I'd prefer Nathan Gardner.

    Improvement

Unlike many I don't believe Taylor has lost the playing group. When Sheens was coming to the end, there were players just going through the motions & didn't appear to be playing together- Benji being the ultimate example. Under Potter the team simply stopped playing midway through the season...

Does anyone think Sam Ayoub should have spoken to his client prior to last week? http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/robbie-farahs-manager-sam-ayoub-had-discussed-his-tigers-departure-with-the-club-for-past-three-weeks/story-e6frf3wu-1227500168643

    Bookend Required

Lodge looks to be quite talented, and if the board & Taylor want to give him 1 more chance, I'd support that. But I'm not sure he deserves 1 more chance, no matter how talented. And I'm not convinced being offered "1 more chance" will ring the bell for him to make the changes he needs. I'd...

    Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

I've not posted in here for a while, but obviously the Robbie Farah 'situation' brings out the opinion in everyone. A lot of emotion is driving the responses at the moment, and I'm sure it'll calm down once the Tigers are out of the weekly spotlight. The calls from some for Taylor's sacking...

    West Tigers 2014

Next year's team is becoming increasingly difficult to predict as the Tigers keep signing players in positions I'm not convinced they need to stregthen from outside the club.. For what it's worth, I think.. 1\. Tedesco 2\. Richards 3\. Lawrence 4\. Simona 5\. Nofoluma 6\. Sironen 7\. Brooks...

Fittler in Tigers' sights as halves coach

Given the pretty obvious disharmony in the squad, I reckon having a bloke like Fittler to loosen everything up might not be so bad..

    Turning point

Turning point was halftime- the Roosters stopped trying to play 'pretty' & just decided to run AT the Tigers. Once they did that, the Tigers got shown up as unable to handle the physical nature of the Roosters pack. The turning point had nothing to do with the Tigers.

Wests Tigers need quick $1m to survive

Pretty difficult to argue that Wests Ashfield shouldn't have more control of the board if they are the ones stumping up all the cash. Personally, as an old Balmain fan, I don't give a hoot what the board composition is made up of. It could be 90% Wests, or 90% Balmain- doesn't matter. So long...

Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Also, while I can understand that a lot of people don't want Tony Abbott as PM, I do find the demonisation of him a little unfair. Unfortunately, we live in a society where our information intake is reliant on the media passing that information to us. And the media is reliant on telling us a...

While this is a very reasonable argument about 'illegal immigrants', I think the biggest problem with Abbott's "Stop The Boats" campaign is simply that those opposing the Liberals, and to some extent the media, are blurring the lines between illegal immigrants, asylum seekers, immigrants & 'boat...

Potter on the Game Plan tonight

I'll start by saying that I'm glad it seems Potter will be HC next season. With that said, I want him to stop bringing up how he's been forced to play all the youngsters this season, or how injuries have effected the club, when people start asking about the results on the field. It's not that...

Those kinds of player are annoying… you don't want to let go of them in case the flourish...but waiting for them to hit their straps is painful. To be fair, BMM has looked pretty good this season in a limited role.

Manaia Rudolph leafs the way off the field

Nice to see a 'good news' story coming out of Wests Tigers. Looks like a young bloke with his head screwed on right- hopefully he can sign up somewhere, maybe the Tigers, and get a go. Would rather someone like this succeed than a lot of these knuckleheads we see coming through the ranks around...

BMM has the look of a guy that might never really meet his potential- like Bronson Harrison in some ways.

Working in the building/construction industry, traditionally Labor type voters, all I hear is how people want a change from Labor. I'm starting to think that all these opinion polls count for nothing. Small business, construction & mining industries are going to punish the ALP at this election...

    Joe Picker

For mine, he's the type of quality forward the Tigers can use- not going to break the bank & offers a bit as a runner coming off the bench.
