Forty years I have been putting up with Wests losing star players ....now it looks like our best three players are leaving .... it just doesn't give a bloke the heart to keep supporting them.
Cleary would be the short priced favourite to get the post. Given our record of coach appointment disasters in recent years, let's hope the incumbent is not signed on a long term contract.
I think most of us suspected the Taylor signing would end in disaster. His handling of Farah's departure, inability to improve our defence and a lack of results all pointed to only one outcome. No doubt the resigning of the big two (Woods and Teddy) was at the heart of the early decision...
I argued ten or twelve years ago the colours should be shared, grounds shared, one NSW Cup team, one NYC team and all leagues clubs rebranded Wests Tigers Leagues Clubs …. well they say Rome wasn't built in a day but I'm sure glad it's heading in the right direction. Pity they can't rebrand...

Might do our players good to see how hard these people have it in life .... a lot of the time through no fault of their own .... and to be grateful for the opportunity they have been give in life.
A risk worth taking …. If he happened to return somewhere near his best, and it's a big if at that, then next year could be better than some of us think.
Of all the players mentioned in this thread, Paul Vaughan is the one I would aim for.
But seriously, the clubs retention and recruitment personnel don't inspire me with any confidence nor does our coach for that matter.
The reason we didn't make the top 8 in 2016 is the team wasn't good enough. They did well to still be in it up to round 26\. We need some astute buying before we are a serious contender so as it stands next year won't be a lot different to this year.
He had no choice …. Sorry the choice was play first grade at Norths or stay in Reserve Grade at Wests ... Which is where he played for a lot of his final year.
Jason Taylor was ever only a goal kicker. He couldn't tackle very well and didn't like being tackled hence offloaded the ball most of the time. He had some good games for Wests and Norths when the forwards were going well but in no way would he ever be considered a state of origin standard half...
It's amazing the stories fans can make up … Now it's Farah and Woods .... Sometimes I think it's supporters with too much time on their hands letting their imagination run wild !
