I don't know if we did know what we were getting. Luai played halfback when Cleary was out and Penrith won games. I also heard that Luai was the better halfback then Cleary in juniors. We expected a lot more in terms of onfield performances. At least I did. I expected him to ice games for us.

If I was a Parra supporter I'd be spewing about losing Volkman to accommodate Luai

I'd have Jeral in front of Turuva honestly. Tupuo and Skelton as your wingers taking hard hit ups at the start of sets and finishing well, that's an awesome backline. I'd leave Maka in reserve grade to develop his game.
