Top coaches don’t need to hook players because they know what’s expected of them. You rarely see Bellamy hook anyone. Benji’s only quality is that the players like him. He has no ability to have a game plan. It’s a shame we didn’t have Madge with this roster, I’ve no doubt we’d have been...

Not sure what we need to fix more, attack or defence. Both are at the level of our wooden spoon years.

They have a smart game plan to test our edges. Our game plan is to hang on and complete our sets. Benji ball is very similar to Taylor ball, Benji just has better players than Taylor had.

With To’a out perfect opportunity to move AD to centre and give Latu a crack in the halves, but it looks like Latu is playing centre.

Scoreline flatters us massively. It’s still going to get ugly. This is not on the halves, it’s on the line speed and aggression in the middle. We decided to turn that on at 14-0. No reason why they couldn’t do that from the start. I’ve no doubt it will drop off again in the second half. Blame...

Haywood having a great debut. Always had the attack to do well, but his defence is holding up so far.

Pole and Samuela are our only forwards that challenge the defensive line. Warriors entire forward pack do that.

Enjoy it, won’t be many more tries to enjoy.

Stating the obvious but this is nowhere good enough. We have constantly lost the middle since the early rounds. I don’t know how our standards can be consistently so low.

Yeah I’m sure his 1 line break a season 50 running metres would have saved us 😂

Where’s Matt Doorey these days?

It’s messy but probably the right decision. We have too much halves depth and no good cover for hooker, centre, second row and front row.

Yeah it should be AD 7, Latu 6 and Javon first drop. There will be plenty of opportunities because AD is always picking up an injury and Latu’s tackling style will continue to cause head knocks and shoulder issues.

I’m a fan of Latu and Javon, but Latu still tackles with his head and Andrews hasn’t played NRL yet. Losing Luai early means we are a significantly weaker team next year.

It’s funny how this thread gets active every time we lose

Need to change a few things and AD can do all the things he does well as a half from right centre. 1. Bula 2. Skelton 3. Makasini 4. AD 5. Turuva 6. Luai 7. Latu 8. May 9. Lanyon 10. Pole 11. Fainu 12. Sukkar 13. Twal 14. Haywood 15. Sione 16. Seyfarth 17. Bunty 18. Madden 19. Tupou

It’s our worst game of the year by far. Not a coincidence.

And to think some people thought we were better off without Luai.

Yep. He looked like he had no footy IQ in defence. Most players don’t debut at such a young age at other clubs, so they give the illusion of walking in and belonging in first grade. IMO this is why Tavana has looked okay since his debut despite not being particularly strong or fast. He’s 22...

He’s quick enough. For all Lawrence’s speed he was a liability in defence and was moved to the wing early in his career. He had shocking hands too. He worked on it and became a star centre. Pretty weak writing Makasini off already.
