Makasini’s defence is already better than Chris Lawrence’s defence was when he was 18. As others have mentioned he’s one of many of the team playing injured, and once he’s injury free and confident again he won’t look back IMO.

Can’t blame Luai this week. I don’t see the value in not playing Latu or Javon this week. Who knows maybe there will be a late change like with Lanyon.

I said this a while back but Latu is going nowhere with his tackling technique. Until he fixes it he’s going to continue to get concussions and shoulder/neck injuries. Jason is our long term 6, and our first choice 2026 spine was good enough in the first 8 rounds or so. Team has just become...

Yep Sloan will fix us. My god…

The pile on on Makasini is over the top. He’s an 18 year old playing injured. Shouldn’t be relied on but he’s there because we have no depth. Judge him when he’s 21.

This one’s on Benji. Should never have kept Geyer on for so long. A tired Seyfarth is soooo much better.

Geyer is single-handedly gifting Newcastle the game. Errors, high tackles, 6 agains. He’s as bad as Hope.

Of course he does. It’s called negotiation. It’s up to the club to decide if they want to accept that and sign him. He’s already on a guaranteed top 30 contract for the next 18 months for the Roosters. He could just choose to stay.

I mean we found Herbert on an excavator, I think Tupou is an upgrade on him.

About the same pace but big difference in height. In the air he’s similar to Tavana, good in attacking situations but heart in your mouth defensively.

Replacing Laulilii with Tupou could work out. Would prefer a more confident player but Laulilii was becoming a target for opposition teams both in First Grade and NSW Cup. If Benji can rebuild Tupou’s confidence, there is a quality player there. I didn’t want to lose him when he was here...

Schuster has all the talent in the world but for whatever reason seems to struggle. If Bennett couldn’t get him going I don’t think anyone will but I guess we’ll see.

Seems a bit early to start giving up on the season and shed our depth players. This hasn’t worked out well in the past. Last year I remember us losing Api the week after letting TDS go.

But it’s not. You’d have to sign him for longer and more money. He’ll probably want a starting role too.

Spencer Lenui is a myth. Cannot believe people would want to bring him in on the 500-600k he would cost. Only ever looked good at Penrith who would make Seyfarth look like an origin player.

It used to be a massive problem. Less so now with Bula, Luai, Turuva, Attard, Mason who are all quick enough without being outright speedsters. Will be better with Averillo. Our first choice back line could race the Panthers back line and there wouldn’t be much of a difference. The difference...

You really think the Dragon’s team are faster than WT?

Yep. Better credentialed than the Mapapalangi or Stevanovic style NSW Cup. Has NRL level talent, just can’t keep out of the hospital so far.

No, but they arguably more quality out, and our highest paid players are there. We can't blame injuries if we lose.

No Hammer, Cobbo, Katoa, Plath. No excuses for us.
