get Fonua sorted and we’re humming. I’m really excited by Crawley coming in as Pathways Director. very well credentialed and experienced coach that doesn’t come from the usual Melbourne and Eastern Suburbs coaching trees or from the 05 clan. got proper pathways experience too. knows what it...

respectfully, you know nothing.

TLDR: Carr works providing he runs attack and Hodgson is either seconded to defence or moved on entirely. if you have a look at St George and the way they attacked under Flanagan, he did a brilliant job with the limited resources at his disposal through 2024 and 2025 before they fell off a...

it certainly didn’t boil down to any one individual, but he wasn’t up to it. I’d say it’s why he wasn’t picked at any point afterwards. as you say I’m hopeful the new assistant can identify the issues and fix them over the summer. I wouldn’t have too much faith in Schuster personally, that’s...

I love the thinking and absolutely agree that he will be our long-term 6, but I still think he’s a little ways off, simply because of his defence. players of Javon’s talent can mature quickly and I’d be delighted if I’m wrong, but I know what I saw against Canberra and that wasn’t reserve...

6. Doueihi 7. Fainu the most important thing for Wests Tigers at this moment in time is winning games. this halves pairing gives us the best chance of doing so. Jock has some issues in his game, Javon isn’t ready for week to week grade and there’s no one else to call upon. ideally I’d have...

WT seemed to have plugged the leaks on their side. like take the assistant coach search, the only candidates we know about are Shane Flanagan and Mick Crawley, both of whom are closely connected to the media. the Averillo news dropped when it was a done deal, Brailey came out of nowhere, Friz...

I think we might need one more with Skelton leaving. Schiller always played in the centres coming thru as well which means he has more utility value as well which is massive in the age of the six-man bench. I’ve always liked him but he’s certainly lost his way at Newcastle. looks like we’re...

latest link: James Schiller via Sports Confidential — James Schiller could be on the move before next season despite having 12 months left on his contract at the Knights. The Tigers are one club who have been linked with the 25-year-old who is free to leave Newcastle immediately if he secures...

Olam passed three medicals to play for WT, two of which were independent. we got clearance to medically retire him because the injury that ruined his career developed during his time at WT. the NRL wouldn’t have approved it otherwise. as for Mann, not really a surprise that he’s been...

Cody Walker has been offered to other clubs via his management (Danny Weidler). we need to be at the table.

I wouldn’t think so, but players with his level of talent can come from nowhere. I’d say he moves between Cup and Flegg next year pending how he fares in the preseason.

certainly doesn’t look good right now, but it depends what they class David as. the great NBWT reckons he’s is a fair chance of playing in the halves as he has done for the majority of his junior rep career. guess we’ll see.

Dogs landed themselves in hot water with a number of players on their roster and their agents because they promised the world and delivered an atlas after stockpiling too many juniors and killing their development. it’s a balancing act and they completely bungled it. their loss is our gain...

nah mate, didn’t have a clue. that said, delighted with this. David’s a super talent and a natural footballer regardless of whether he plays 1 or in the halves. amazing footwork, silky ballplaying skills and deceptively strong for his size. I have some queries about him defending up in the...

ah yes great critical thinking skills on display once again. thanks for your insights as always mate, duly appreciated.

many footballers have played at a high click despite being in their mid 30s, Kurt himself being one of them. but while you’re here, do you have an feasible alternative that’s currently on the market that you’d like to propose?

Kurt Mann has played State of Origin Alex Seyfarth has not Kurt Mann has played semi final football Alex Seyfarth has not Kurt Mann has been in multiple systems with differing levels of success Alex Seyfarth has been in one system with no success to call upon Kurt Mann has played fullback...

lightning quick play the ball. I hope we look into it.

no we don't. Herbert's basically spot 30 on the roster. in years' past that spot has been reserved for players like Will Craig. currently for depth in the outside backs we have Herbert, Saukuru and Makasini in the 30 with Tavana and Attard on development contracts. one more is absolutely...
