    A GOOD READ

I've just finished reading John Elias' book - SIN BIN -. Most enjoyable with lots of stuff about various clubs and coaches. How much of it is gospel truth, I don't know, but it's quite engrossing. As they said in The Life of Brian "he's been a very naughty boy" and probably his own worst enemy...

    Adam Blair

I only saw a very short clip of the Storm's game at the weekend, but was that Adam Blair who made a great run down the sideline which led to a try? # 11? I hope it was! He seemed unstoppable and got away a very nice pass in traffic.

John Grant on TV this Saturday

The ABC's televised Rugby Union match this Saturday is Eastwood v Easts. John Grant is #14 for Eastwood. The game starts at 3:00 pm on Channel 2\. It will be a good chance to see our new boy in action. He's big and he's fast, and I hope I haven't Jonah'd him!

    Denan Kemp

Yesterday I noticed that Denan Kemp - ex Bronco's winger and fullback - is playing Sydney Club Rugby for Southern Districts. He's very, very fast, can kick goals and is only 24\. Anyone know anything about him? Maybe he'd be a good cheap pick-up and would like a return to 'The Dark Side'.

What's up with some of you people?

What's up with some of you people? You've just witnessed a most remarkable comeback in which your/our team pulled off a Lazarus-like (I'm talking Biblical, Not Glen) resurrection and you're too biased against some players to enjoy it. There's one thread bagging Lui, another heaping merde on Beau...

More grist for the rumour mill.........

I see that Ma'a Nonu has been moved on from the Hurricanes and is looking for a new Super Rugby club. Were'nt the Tigers talking to him at the beginning of this year? Just a thought, and probably just as valid as the rest of the rumours that seem to get credence here.

    John Sattler

Re the recent SMH article on John Sattler. He was indeed a tough man and it was an amazing feat of courage and endurance to play that Grand Final with a busted jaw. However, he did deal out plenty of mayhem and damage to lots of players during his years at Souths - not always legally - and I am...

    Forward Passes

There seems to be a lot of Forward Passes allowed at the moment. The Storm and the Broncoes have got away with murder this year and, speaking as a supporter of a team that's sufferred horribly this year from"forward Passes", I want to have a winge! Is it just me, or is it the set TV camera...

    Strange standards

How come we have a player who bit another player and another bloke who kicked someone in the head both playing this weekend? "Please explain", as that red -headed woman once said.

    Biting

On TV tonight did I, or did I not, see Jamie Soward bite a Manly player ? The reporter said that no action was expected to be taken! I know that the bitten one was only a Manly player, but BITING!! and "no action"? What's the NRL World coming to?
